Because Shade came so frequently, and almost every time he came to have Luvia tell his fortune, even the receptionists on the 1st Floor recognized him. Hearing Vice President Mark tease him, they all laughed.
"I came to invite Miss Annette to lunch."
Shade said rather awkwardly, then patted his cat to make it behave.
"Lunch?"
Vice President Mark took out his pocket watch and glanced at it:
"It's eleven fifteen. Why don't you leave with Miss Annette now? There are only five minutes until the lunch break. I don't think there's any problem with letting her off early."
"How could I do that? I'll wait another five minutes."
Shade shook his head firmly. He was not merely being polite; he had already waited fifteen minutes, so another five would not matter.
"Meow~"
The cat in his arms rubbed against Shade's chest, wriggling as it tried to find a more comfortable position.
"Very well. Would you like to sit in my office, then? We can talk about the next edition of Rhodes Cards."
