Diviner and Diviner

Shade set out from home at seven in the evening. After arriving at Middlesburg, he went all the way down the mountain and found Sister Devlin waiting for him. Two other nuns from the Order of Spiritual Cultivation were with her, but in the end, only the leader of the order followed Shade into the mountains.

The two of them returned along the path Shade had taken down the mountain. Along the way, Shade explained that there were other people in his Tobesk home, but they were absolutely trustworthy, so the nun did not mind.

Perhaps they were simply unlucky. On the way into the mountains, they actually encountered an evil spirit. This one took the form of a headless man wielding a woodcutter's blade, its body covered in horrifying secret inscriptions. As an inexplicable fog appeared, it raised its blade and charged at the two people moving through the dense forest.

Since they had entered the mountains at night, Night Watchman in Shade's hand noticed the evil spirit first. Strengthened by the two earthquakes, the mountain spirit's power had reached a terrifying level. Shade prepared to deal with it, but before he could act, Sister Devlin flung a mass of flame toward it.

The evil spirit did not even have the chance to leave last words before it was burned away.

"Primordial Fire has extraordinary effects on souls."

The Eleventh Ring nun spoke calmly, then gestured for Shade to continue leading the way.

At 7:40, the two arrived before the abandoned tower in the mountains and, under Shade's guidance, jumped into the basement.

Moonlight shone into the tower through the doorway without a door panel, then passed through the trapdoor to illuminate Traveler's Travel Door in the basement.
