Gesturing for the nun not to act, Shade handed the water treated with Satiety Feast to the hand. The bluish hand seized the bowl, then withdrew beyond the door. Shade immediately shut the door again, leaving only a narrow crack.
His left hand gripped the inner door handle while his right held Night Watchman aloft. But Shade never got a chance to strike. Both he and the nun heard the sound of gulping from outside. The bowl was quite large, so the evil spirit outside was the one that had drunk the most Satiety Feast so far.
It drained the bowl in one go, then let out a loud burp. Shade narrowed his eyes with his sword in hand, while Sister Michelle clutched a glittering stone, ready to cast a spell.
