The lights on the stairs were still on, but the light in Room Number One on the Second Floor had gone out. When Shade entered, he casually switched on the lamp. The flowers still piled up his living room, while the candles on the dining table had already burned out.
Leisha was nowhere to be seen. Instead, Dorothy was sitting on the sofa, waiting for Shade. Her expression had returned to normal, with none of the tearful look from just now.

"If you had wanted to stay and have dinner with us just now, we would not have let you leave. Why did you go downstairs alone?"
