Shade looked at her in surprise.
"But I'm not a woman."
"But you can use the power of Witches, and you're proficient in both space and mathematics. Miss Galina also praised you highly, saying you were capable and reliable. I can't think of anyone more suitable than you to be my apprentice."
Miss Sylvia listed Shade's strengths one by one.
What she said did make sense, but Shade felt that being a Correspondence Student of Saint Byron's was enough for now. He was also still thinking about the position of Academy Library administrator.
