"Wedding!"
That was the first word that appeared in Shade's mind when he woke on Tuesday morning.
A wedding had always been an important life ritual, and according to Delarion tradition, noble weddings were especially tedious and complicated. Not to mention that this time, it was Princess Mona Cavendish of the Cavendish Family marrying Randolph Eisberg, the second son of Duke Esberg, who commanded the Third Legion Far North Garrison Force of the Delarion Royal Army.
A Delarion noble wedding would last an entire day.
The bride and groom would not meet in the morning. Yodel Palace and the Eisberg Family would each prepare wedding attire and makeup for the bride and groom. It was quite a cumbersome affair, and no one wanted to lose face over it.
In the afternoon, both families would invite friends and relatives to the church. Since Mr. Randolph Eisberg believed in the true god, the God of War and Peace—commonly known as the Benevolent Father of Peace—the wedding would be held at Peace Church in Tobesk City. The entire ceremony would last several hours.
Only after the wedding ceremony would they move on to the day's most important and most crowded event: a grand wedding celebration hosted by the Eisberg Family at their estate, where friends and relatives would share in the day's joy.
Marriage meant establishing a home, so tonight's grand wedding banquet would not be held at the Eisberg Family estate, but at the newlyweds' own estate. Only truly great nobles could afford such extravagance. The estate that Mona Cavendish and Randolph Eisberg were about to call home had originally belonged to another noble family, but because of their connections to Cultists this summer, that entire family had been erased from Delarion's noble records.
