The restored Humanoid Relic stood in the middle of the ruined living room, while Doctor Schneider and the other three stared at the scene in astonishment.
Shade smiled and opened his mouth to speak, only to see strange Great Fog envelop him. The light in his vision vanished once more, and in an instant, he arrived on an unknown island, facing the enormous stone pillar before him that emitted golden light.
That stone pillar was the one at the heart of the island that Shade had struck with Thunder Spear when Vinales' Trial had opened on Lake Heart Island in Schluch Lake.
"She" softly reminded him:
Vinales' Trial: Capture a person who does not exist in Tobesk City. Completed. Outlander, you may make a wish to Vinales' Stone Pillar.
"I have no wishes."
Shade said.
The Great Fog disappeared, and Shade returned to his home. But judging from the expressions of the other four, it seemed he had never left at all.
Shade opened his right hand, which he had somehow clenched tightly. A translucent blue teardrop-shaped crystal lay safely in his palm.
"Oh, my God, this is..."
Doctor Schneider stared at the crystal in surprise.
"Yes. The Academy is willing to exchange a Sage Level Relic for it in their bounty."
Shade nodded, then looked towards the black-clad figure standing in the middle of the ruined room. Jack the Thief did not leave immediately. Under Shade's gaze, it lowered its head.
"You truly caught me."
The thief in black took three items from its pocket and placed them on the floor.
"I will never again steal from you or your residence for the rest of my life. Choose one and exchange it for my freedom."
