A Conversation with Shisui

The next afternoon, Ye Wuyue found Shisui's home according to the location Fugaku had given him.

"Is this Shisui's house? It looks pretty nice."

Shisui's house was slightly smaller than his, but it was still a rather luxurious little villa. It seemed Mirror had left Shisui quite a fortune, after all. He had been the Second Hokage's disciple.

"Knock, knock, knock!"

Ye Wuyue knocked on the door.

"Coming!"

A hearty voice rang out, and the door soon opened.

A boy wearing a Konoha forehead protector appeared before Ye Wuyue. He had large eyes, a round face, a button nose, and a short blade strapped to his back. He was none other than Uchiha Shisui.

"I didn't expect Sasuke to have already started training in the Body Flicker Technique. You're even more hardworking than your older brother, Itachi."

After they met, Shisui first praised Sasuke.

Ye Wuyue did not feel embarrassed. After all, Shisui was only stating the truth.

"I'll be troubling you this afternoon, Brother Shisui," Ye Wuyue said politely.

"No problem. I wouldn't dare claim expertise in anything else, but I can still give you some guidance in training the Body Flicker Technique," Shisui said with a hint of confidence.

The two of them then went to a forest within the Uchiha Clan District. Some targets and wooden posts had been set up there, making it look like someone often trained in this place.

"This is where Itachi and I used to train together. But ever since you learned to walk, Itachi has rarely come here."

Shisui touched a target hanging from a tree and looked at Sasuke with a faintly resentful expression, as if blaming him for stealing Itachi away.

"It's not that I'm unwilling to lend him to you. The problem is that Nii-san loves sticking to me too much. I can't do anything about it." Ye Wuyue spread his hands, showing that he was helpless too.

Shisui looked at Sasuke's expression and felt somewhat awkward.

"After Itachi returns from this mission, have him come find me. There are some important matters I want to discuss with him."

Shisui put away his joking attitude and spoke to Sasuke rather seriously.

Ye Wuyue grew wary when he heard this. In the original story, Shisui seemed to have played a part in Itachi's decision to massacre the entire clan, hadn't he?

After possessing Sasuke's body, he often told Itachi stories about filial piety, hoping Itachi would not once again set himself against the entire Uchiha Clan, including his own family.

The effect seemed fairly obvious so far. Itachi's bond with his family had clearly grown much stronger. But if Shisui started trying to persuade him, things might not be so safe.

"How does Brother Shisui view the relationship between the clan and the village?" Ye Wuyue did not immediately agree to Shisui's request. Instead, he threw a question back at him.
