Background / History

The Chief Judge founded the Dark Arbitration Court and later accepted Lu Yuan as his fifth disciple. His authority allows him to appoint Executive Officers at will; Lu Yuan’s status as his disciple is sufficient to silence challenges from major sects 55 67 130.

He is regarded as one of the Tai Wu Realm’s most mysterious Heavens Hegemons. Even Immortal Lord Qingshang considers the possibility of the Chief Judge’s intervention a mortal threat, while the Immortal Lord himself is said to fear provoking him 98.

When the Tai Wu Realm faces destruction, the Chief Judge reveals that the Immortal Lord betrayed the Human Ancestor Hall by colluding with outsiders during the Human Ancestor’s seclusion. He identifies Lu Yuan—whose nature is closest to an Innate Being—as the realm’s strongest hope of producing a Tai Realm expert 101.

The Chief Judge is fiercely protective of his disciples. When the Martial Ancestor threatens Lu Yuan, he refuses even a “minor punishment,” openly daring the Martial Ancestor to fight instead 60. He similarly dismisses concerns that Lu Yuan may become an unparalleled demon, valuing their master-disciple bond above Lu Yuan’s future reputation or conduct 63.

His teachings are pragmatic and unconventional. He places little value on talent without backing, stresses the importance of ruthless tempering and real combat, and believes those at his level should act according to their own will 55 63 87. Despite this severity, he consistently trusts Lu Yuan’s judgment and avoids probing into the disciple’s secrets 111.

Conflict with the Martial Ancestor

After Lu Yuan provokes the Martial Ancestor by destroying a planet connected to Martial Arts, the Chief Judge intervenes and prevents any punishment. He later explains that Lu Yuan has formed a karmic connection with the Martial Ancestor that may have future consequences 60 61.

Tai Wu Realm Crisis

The Chief Judge warns Lu Yuan that the Undead Heavenly Emperor’s return may doom the Tai Wu Realm. He later exposes the Immortal Lord’s historical betrayal of the Human Ancestor Hall and places hope in Lu Yuan’s potential to become a Tai Realm expert 100 101.

Primordial Immortal Hall Resistance
