Background / History

Ghost Immortal and Fu Luan Temple

Mo Chuan first manifested from incense smoke at a family shrine, accompanied by the towering Jie Netherworld Realm and extreme yin miasma. His appearance was mistaken for the Chen family's Old Ancestor. 1

While presenting himself as You Xuzi of Fu Luan Temple, he met Chong Shizi of Chisong Palace. Mo Chuan accepted Chong's proposal to subdue a Headless Ghost, learned to wield the Soul Binding Whip, and used Ghost Subduing Talismans against the ghost. Chong Shizi then betrayed him by sealing both of them inside the Three Pure Ones Bell. 5 6

After returning to his body, Mo Chuan took revenge. Disguised as a Chuma Immortal, he assassinated Chong Shizi with a Nangzi dagger and allowed the Headless Ghost to consume Chong's remnant soul. 7

Daoist Cultivation and the Myriad Dynasties Cave

Mo Chuan began cultivating the Three Scenery Daoist Magic at Fu Luan Temple and quickly demonstrated exceptional comprehension. His defeat of the Great Five-Armored Demon later earned him public veneration: Yan Zhen Hall was established in his honor, while Tianbao Temple erected a memorial tablet. 24 27

He aided Madam Liu during her pregnancy, protected Wei Li and her father from a giant worm, and attempted to halt the siege of Taiyuan Heaven because of its human cost. Mo Chuan is highly strategic and willing to deceive, intimidate, or manipulate opponents when necessary. He has used false displays of power against demons, engineered conflicts among Dharma Sects, and exploited rival ambitions to secure resources and influence. 101 306 371

His benevolence has clear limits. When pursuing resources or eliminating threats, he can be ruthless, as shown by his killing of the Lu family head for Earth Spiritual Roots and his vow to exterminate Pu Ze's sect. 275 446
