Upon seeing the burning wall of fire and the fleeing enemy, Dolo immediately puffed out a puff of white smoke from his nostrils, picked up his axe, and tried to charge into the enemy lines.

But Lang Pu stopped him.

"It's time to retreat, Commander Dolo."

Dolo turned around in confusion, his crimson eyes filled with resentment. "Lang Pu, in this situation, you're telling me to retreat? Did you take those humans' Gold Coin?"

Lang Pu said calmly, "This is the master's order. Do you intend to disobey it?"

Dolo spat and said viciously, "Lang Pu, don't be too happy yet. I will report your inaction in this war to the master truthfully."

"Hmph, let's go!"

The Hobgoblin leader then summoned his troops and prepared to return North of the Pass.

Dolo didn't lose his mind completely in a bloodthirsty frenzy; he knew Lang Pu must have had the confidence to say that.

Lang Pu ignored the enraged Hobgoblin leader and instead took out a special Azure Foot Dragon Snake Horn from his Dimensional Bag, which was covered with magical runes.

He activated it with ease.

Immediately afterwards, the majestic voice of the Red Dragon, recorded by magic, echoed across the entire battlefield like thunder.

"The remnants of the Ember Nest— "

"Operate as ordered, the entire army retreats!"

Lang Pu followed suit, shouting, "This is the master's command, the will of the Great Red Dragon!"

As the Ogre had smashed soldiers into mincemeat raised their heads, the Chimera that had been crushing soldiers in the crowd turned their three heads in bewilderment, the Lizardmen who had plunged their spears into the chests of their enemies pulled out their blood-stained Bone Spear, and the swooping, fire-breathing Wyvern spread their wings and slowly ascended. Although the servants of the Ember Nest did not understand why they had to retreat, the Red Dragon's orders were clearly not to be disobeyed.

So even though they were fighting fiercely, they had no choice but to reluctantly leave the battlefield and obey orders to withdraw from the front lines. The Ogre and Hobgoblin ran, the Terrestrial Dragon Beast moved slowly, and the Wyvern and Chimera flew in the air. They all fled towards the camp of their kin north of Trill's Gullet.

Soon, only blood, the remains of humans and monsters, and still-burning embers remained on the ground.

"Am I dreaming?"

"They're gone?"

"Gods help us, these monsters have retreated!"

"I... I actually survived!"

"Oh my god—"

The Allied soldiers, who had just experienced a fierce battle, stood frozen in place. Most of them were covered in wounds and blood, dazed and confused, muttering to themselves as if they were in a dream.

This inexplicable "victory" did not make them cheer as usual; instead, they felt a sense of relief at surviving a disaster.

The staff officer rode up on horseback, panting, and reported, "My lord, my lord! All the remnants of the Ember Nest have retreated!"

Robert wiped the sweat from his brow and breathed a sigh of relief; at least he no longer had to worry about being attacked at his door.

But faced with this situation, he was still puzzled. "They clearly have an absolute advantage, so why are they retreating?"

Lord "Gray Eagle" Schroeder had already withdrawn from the front lines. He stood aside and pondered for a moment before whispering, "Red Dragon, these greedy and stingy monsters, rarely bestow favors. Perhaps the power of these monsters is not granted. And every power has its price."

"In other words, they are likely burning their own lives."

Robert hesitated for a moment before saying, "So you mean..."

"Does the Ember Nest fear a prolonged war?"

Schroeder's voice was hoarse. "This is just a reasonable guess."

"I can only say... perhaps that's the case."

Robert stepped out of his tent, gazing at the silhouette of the Wyvern soaring in the sky, and finally gritted his teeth and made up his mind.

"Then let's go after them!"

"This is the last chance for the allied forces to win."

"We absolutely cannot let them recover!"

The bugle call to charge rang out, and under Robert's orders, the Allied soldiers continued their pursuit, capturing the former positions, but their advance was slow.

The soldiers marched on listlessly, and even their warhorses neighed wearily.

"Soldiers, victory is within reach!"

"These monsters won't last long!"

"You will become heroes who maintain order in the the North!"

The warlord officer shouted passionately, but the soldiers just watched coldly.

"Victory? What a joke."

"Has this guy ever seen Wyvern's fangs?"

"Was he hit by the Ogre's club?"

Discontented whispers arose within the ranks.

These soldiers, who had experienced brutal fighting, were already weary of war and wanted to avoid it. They only did not desert out of self-preservation. Although the supervising officers repeatedly emphasized the retreat of the monsters, the soldiers still followed behind at a leisurely pace, afraid of being overtaken if they went too fast.

They used this method to passively avoid battle, and even the military governor could not punish them on the grounds of military law.

North of the Trill Throat.

Lang Pu stood halfway up the mountain, looking down at the coalition forces slowly pursuing him in the distance, a hint of expectant smile appearing on his ugly face.

"The guys from the the North."

"You've finally come to your deaths..."

He was surrounded by Ogre, Hobgoblin, Kobold, Lizardmen and other Embers Scourge, and even the captured nobles were brought here.

They were noisy and chaotic, the frenzy from the fighting not yet completely subsided.

"I killed twelve humans with a hammer."

"Haha, I crushed them to pieces."

"What a pity, I wanted to taste blood again."

"Tsk tsk, here it is!"

As these monsters spoke, their greedy eyes couldn't help but dart towards the noble captives.

Viscount Luton was terrified by the monsters around him. He asked Tiefling nervously, "My lord, what brings us here?"

"Please protect our safety."

Mezhuolash smiled but remained silent, offering no reply.

"I was really into the game, why did I have to retreat?"

"Yeah, I only got 600 contribution points."

"Is the war over?"

"Is there Final Task?"

"Aren't there any Cutscene?"

The players followed the quest guide and arrived at the camp halfway up the mountain to watch the excitement.

Upon seeing the coalition forces approaching in the distance, Lang Pu simply raised his staff.

Stone Wall Spell

All that could be heard was a rumbling sound from the ground.

A thick stone wall slowly rose, completely sealing off the only remaining exit Trill Throat, and trapping nearly 10,000 remaining Allied soldiers in the Trill Valley.

"This must be what the master meant by 'catching a turtle in a jar'."

Lang Pu looked down at the commotion of the coalition forces below and muttered to himself.
