Frost Giants and Their Followers
Gold Tooth realized the danger of the situation and quickly opened his mouth.
Fireball
Gold Tooth was no ordinary figure in the Embers of the Burned Kingdom. As Kobold Sorcerer many years, he could fully utilize the magic in his bloodline and even easily cast Third Circle Spell like Fireball.
A blazing fireball was spat out of Gold Tooth's mouth and struck the unsuspecting Frost Giant directly in the face.
With a sizzling sound as flesh and skin burned, half of the Frost Giant's face was charred black, and horrible wounds appeared on his skin. This caused him to loosen his grip in excruciating pain, allowing the Gold Tooth that had been hooked by the bone pickaxe to break free.
"It's so hot!"
Baya first covered his face, then roared to the sky, his face, covered in burn marks, filled with fighting spirit.
The Frost Giant symbolizes power and value with the scars on his body and the spoils he has taken from his enemies. Instead of being frightened by the attack of the Gold Tooth, it ignited Baya's fighting spirit.
"Dragon, I'm going to kill you!"
"Come down and fight me!"
He threw stones into the air in a desperate attempt to knock the Gold Tooth out.
Gold Tooth dodged through the air, muttering under his breath, "What a damn madman."
He spat another fireball at the ground, but this time it was blocked by the prepared Frost Giant's bone shield.
"Crawler, your flames are wretched!"
"Come on! Let's fight hand-to-hand!"
The Frost Giant leaped high into the air once more, attempting to repeat his previous tactic of hooking down the Gold Tooth from the sky and bringing it to the ground to fight.
But Gold Tooth was prepared this time. He deftly flapped his wings, dodging the bone pickaxe as he approached the Frost Giant from behind.
[Burning Hands]
The Winged Kobold extended its claws, and a cone-shaped flame shot out from its palm, burning the Frost Giant's back and leaving a large scorch mark on its defenseless back.
The Frost Giant fell to the ground in pain, rolling several times to dissipate the force, but quickly got back up.
Your attack is completely ineffective!
The tenacious and valiant Frost Giant still roared on the ground, preparing for their next attack.
Combat is commonplace for them; Frost Giant often engage in hand-to-hand combat with behemoths on the ice plains, so these injuries are nothing to them.
Taking advantage of this precious respite, Gold Tooth looked at the chaotic battlefield. The cold wind was growing increasingly biting, and the Frost Giant were effortlessly crushing the Kobold, even capturing a few cowardly ones alive.
Faced with the absolute size and strength of the Frost Giant, this was not an equal battle at all; it could only be considered a one-sided game.
"Once those Frost Giant surround me, I won't be able to escape either."
"There are only a little over a thousand puppies here. Given the current situation, we have no choice but to abandon them. The most important thing is to inform our master of the Frost Giant ' southward march as soon as possible."
Gold Tooth had been leading the Kobold in the mines for months, during which time they had little contact with the Embers of the Burned Kingdom and were unaware of the changes in the outside world, but he knew how terrifying the Frost Giant were.
These creatures average six meters in height and are born fierce and tenacious Fighter. Their battles can even cause avalanches on White Peak Mountain. The mere dozens of Frost Giant present here are enough to completely destroy a city, and are far beyond the capabilities of these Kobold.
With that thought, Gold Tooth roared and flapped his wings to rise into the sky—he no longer wanted to get entangled with Baya.
"Foolish giant! I am not a dragon, but merely Kobold under the command of the Great Red Dragon!"
"The power you are so proud of is utterly worthless in front of your master!"
"Remember, when my master arrives, all of you Frost Giant will turn to ashes!"
After uttering those harsh words, Gold Tooth spread his wings and left the battlefield, soaring over the hills—that's the advantage of being able to fly.
If he can't beat them, can't he at least run away? The Frost Giant on the ground could only rage helplessly, throwing out huge rocks, but the Gold Tooth had already flown too high, and even with the Frost Giant ' immense strength, it was difficult to throw it.
Baya touched the wound on his face, his expression contorted in rage.
"He... he's not a dragon?"
"Just a Kobold!"
The Frost Giant Warrior gritted his teeth; even when he was injured, he had never been this angry and out of control.
If the wound were inflicted by Red Dragon, it would undoubtedly be a symbol of honor; but since it was inflicted by a weak Kobold, it would only make the Baya tribe a complete laughingstock.
"Huff, huff"
"I must kill it."
"And the giant dragon behind it."
Baya stared intently at the Kobold in the distance, now just a tiny black dot, his eyes filled with hatred, the scars on his face particularly prominent.
With that, he casually stomped his foot, and another Kobold fleeing in panic was crushed into a bloody pulp, dying without even a chance to howl.
The wilderness was littered with corpses, the mangled bodies of Kobold were everywhere, and the cold wind howled, often covering their surfaces with a thin layer of frost.
The Frost Giant Frost Giant suffered no casualties and swiftly cleared the battlefield. They only took the large pieces of gold, and didn't even bother to steal the smaller pieces of equipment and trinkets from the Kobold.
Similar scenes unfolded across Storm Highlands – Goblin strongholds were trampled flat by giants, Kobold mines were crushed by giants, and Half-orc hunting grounds were destroyed by giants.
These Frost Giant marched rapidly in several small squads, plundering and destroying everything in their path.
Since the Embers of the Burned Kingdom has shifted its defensive focus to the south, the Storm Highlands in the north have almost no regular troops, only neglected monster minions. They are powerless against the powerful Frost Giant army, making the Frost Giant virtually invincible on the Storm Highlands.
In fact, Keosius deliberately created an opening, allowing the Frost Giant to eliminate these rapidly multiplying monsters, thereby controlling the number of monsters on Storm Highlands.
It's important to know that the number of Kobold and Goblin in Storm Highlands is already uncountable without human control. If they were allowed to reproduce freely, they would probably devour the entire Storm Highlands.
The Hobgoblin leader Dolo once said, "I don't consider these beasts, who multiply like wild animals, to be my relatives at all."
The higher-ups of the Embers of the Burned Kingdom are already planning to divide Kobold and Goblin into two species, dragon blood and ordinary, based on the concentration of dragon blood.
Those from the dragon veins become citizens of the Burning City, while ordinary people remain monsters. The kingdom will systematically eliminate and control the more easily proliferating ordinary monsters, most of whom will become disposable resources for the kingdom's development—such as miners, porters, and cannon fodder.
The elite forces of the original Ember Nest, such as Wyvern and Chimera, were mostly concentrated in the Stone Fortress area and had not yet been attacked by the Frost Giant.
Meanwhile, they had already received news from the kingdom and were standing ready in front of the Stone Fortress.
