Reunion
"Huh, what happened?"
Olivia slowly opened her eyes, her pupils gleaming faintly in the darkness.
The graceful Silver Dragon stretched out her wings slightly, struggled to support her body with her Limbs, and got up from the ground. She felt as if her body no longer belonged to her.
The surrounding environment was somewhat dark, and the light seemed to be absorbed by something, causing her pupils to dilate slightly.
"Huh? Wait, what's this—"
Olivia was then fully awake from her dreamlike state, and she was surprised to find that the restraints on her body had been removed! The heavy chains that had been embedded in her flesh had disappeared, and the restraining and oppressive pain had vanished with them.
"Olivia, I'm not too late, am I?"
A familiar voice came from inside.
Silver Dragon was initially incredulous, then turned around with immense joy to see the figure he had longed for day and night.
With short black hair, gleaming Golden Vertical Pupils, and a handsome young face, he wore a noble robe trimmed with gold, and faintly visible pale golden scales—that was "Anher," the young Golden Dragon who made a promise to her.
"You, you"
The huge surprise hit Olivia.
She trembled slightly all over.
Olivia had rehearsed her lines countless times in her mind for this reunion.
But when that moment actually arrived, perhaps due to overwhelming emotions, all those words stuck in her throat, leaving her momentarily speechless.
Finally, she just uttered a few words in a daze.
"I"
"Am I really not dreaming?"
Anher didn't respond, but just looked at her with a smile in his eyes, as if to say, "This is reality."
Yes, it feels real, it's real.
Olivia suddenly felt a lump in her throat, and tears welled up in her blue-gray eyes.
However, when the Silver Dragon looked down and saw its own body covered in wounds, it didn't even bother to wipe away the tears that were sliding down its cheeks. It just wiped them away haphazardly with its claws and said anxiously, "Don't look at me like that!"
"This wretched appearance is truly hideous!"
Before she finished speaking, tiny glimmers of magical light flickered on the Silver Dragon's body, and her figure rapidly shrank until she transformed into a noble-looking girl with long, silver-white hair.
However, she doesn't look very elegant right now.
"Hmm"
Olivia threw herself into Anher's arms, unable to hold back her emotions any longer, tears streaming down her beautiful blue-gray eyes.
Anher gently embraced her, letting her release her long-suppressed emotions.
Sobbing echoed through the palace.
After a long while, Olivia realized her excessive behavior. Reluctantly, she let go of Angel's hand, gently pushed Anher away, and gazed into his golden eyes.
Perhaps she was crying too hard, because her voice was still choked with sobs.
"Anher, how much time has passed?"
"Exactly ninety-eight days."
"Anher," or rather, "Keosius," responded.
"The Embers of the Burned King mysteriously disappeared several months ago, and I obtained the method to break the seal from the ancient ruins, so I came to find you immediately. How about it, it's not too late, is it?"
"Hmm, of course not."
Olivia gently wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes and immediately burst into laughter.
"You still remember that promise after all."
She spoke cautiously and softly.
Keosius stepped forward and leaned close to Olivia's cheek. "I told you, even if it costs me everything, even all my treasures, I will rescue you from here. That's my promise to you."
"Let's leave together. This is not a place to stay for long. No one knows when the Embers of the Burned King Will return."
"Um."
Olivia nodded vigorously, her cheeks slightly flushed.
Keosius took the girl's slender hand, summoned a portal, and led her out into the world.
However, the Silver Dragon girl, immersed in the happiness of her reunion and full of wonderful dreams, did not expect that the so-called "promise" was a complete deception from the very beginning.
"Is this the Witch's Veil Tavern?"
"You once said this was your favorite tavern. Since it's getting late, let's rest here for now."
"Good."
Olivia had a gentle smile on her face.
Stepping into the room on the second floor of the tavern, candles resembling witch's wands hung on the walls, casting a slightly dim, flickering light. The bed was covered with an exquisitely patterned silk blanket.
The atmosphere was somewhat ambiguous.
The silver-haired girl's face flushed slightly, after all, she had never experienced anything like this before.
The Silver Dragon did not resist lovemaking and regarded it as a beautiful and elegant thing, but Olivia usually spent most of her time studying magic and had never thought about such things carefully.
She was somewhat at a loss.
After much hesitation and internal struggle, Olivia timidly asked, "Shall we go to sleep now?"
"Why... don't we study and discuss the spells first, Professor Olivia?"
Keosius said jokingly, emphasizing the word "teacher".
He took the girl's hand and pulled her into his arms. Finally, the two sat together on the soft bed, their bodies overlapping.
Olivia did not resist, but her cheeks were visibly flushed, and steam was practically rising from her head.
The silver-haired girl still tried to remain calm:
"Wh-what kind of spell?"
Keosius leaned close to Olivia's ear and whispered, "You are the ' Silver Star,' so naturally we should discuss magic related to the stars."
Olivia felt weak all over and was drenched in sweat, but she still answered nervously:
"You mean... the Crown of Stars?"
"Hmm—"
However, before she could finish speaking, her mouth was sealed by soft lips.
Olivia initially struggled instinctively, but as time passed and the fluids were exchanged, her eyes gradually became hazy, and she became completely immersed in it.
Keosius then removed her long, star-studded dress that covered her body, revealing a large expanse of snow-white skin and her stunning curves.
The silver-haired girl's breathing became increasingly rapid, and her slight panting could be clearly heard throughout the room.
"Teacher Olivia, let's touch the spell model first..."
"No, Anher."
"Teacher Olivia, I want to delve into the Weave, to touch its veins, and to reach the weak point at its top."
"Anher, no!"
"If we do that, the Weave is about to break!"
"Relax, Olivia, this is just a normal phenomenon of spellcasting. Only those fools in Netheril would do something to disrupt the Weave."
"Unfortunately, I am not a mage and cannot construct those intricate models. I can only draw all the extensions into the Source Sea, causing waves of energy."
"Anher, um... this, is this the power of arcane magic? So powerful, so abundant..."
"No, Olivia, this is our Sorcerer's Sorcerous Font, originating from the Sea of Chaos. Carefully experience this feeling; it can bring us unparalleled power and enjoyment..."
The two High-Level Spellcaster were engrossed in their study of magic, and the lights in the tavern flickered violently before finally going out completely, plunging the room into darkness.
Perhaps due to the celestial magic, the stars twinkled clearly in the night Star. Every now and then, one or two shooting stars would streak across the night sky, trailing reddish tails, either plummeting straight down or sweeping across, trembling and bringing a touch of light and heat to the night.
Another bright comet streaked through the stars, its milky-white tail illuminating the vast darkness and enveloping even the tiny stars. The night trembled shyly, as if moaning, murmuring a chapter of the night.
