Revenge
High in the sky, surrounded by a scorching hurricane.
Keosius's pupils changed constantly, sometimes appearing as a clear pale gold, and sometimes as a mottled blood red.
"Roar!"
The Red Dragon let out a series of restless roars, its scales shimmering with blood-red light, and its massive body wreathed in crimson Chaos Fire.
Keosius's will and the will to destroy constantly vie for control of his body. He struggles painfully in the Abyss of power, and also fights against the desires buried deep in his blood.
"Keosius, stop!"
"Don't let that force control you! That's not the real you!"
Olivia called out anxiously over and over again.
Ignoring all obstacles, the Silver Dragon flapped its wings with all its might in the hurricane, trying to get closer to the struggling Red Dragon —so much so that burn marks appeared on its slender silver body.
"Stop."
"Hurry up."
Another gust of scorching wind swept past, blowing her several meters away. Olivia spread her wings and almost spat out a few words through gritted teeth.
Behind the earthen slope on the ground, Leo Bosk looked up, staring intently at the Red Dragon hovering in the air.
"Look. That's your best chance for revenge. That Red Dragon is going crazy. He won't notice you."
"You will become a hero of the the North, you will become the supreme ruler of Anzeta."
That deep voice echoed in Leo's mind once again.
Yes, it's all the Red Dragon's fault.
It was the Red Dragon Red Dragon that brought Bosque's rule to the brink of collapse, destroyed his proud army, killed several of his sons, and made the Bosk Family's thousand-year-old foundation crumble.
Kill him.
If I kill this Red Dragon, I can have everything.
His Bosk Family will rule the the North forever, like the sun and moon, forever high in the sky, for thousands of years without ever falling.
Grand Duke Leo's pupils surged with boundless hatred and the excitement of about to kill his enemy.
His lips trembled slightly, and his beard shook accordingly.
"Quick, tell me."
"Please tell me, what should I do?"
The voice chuckled and replied, "It's simple, hatred is your weapon."
"Good."
Leo gritted his teeth, trying his best to recall the memories that made him angry and resentful, and the hatred in his eyes grew stronger.
He didn't notice that more and more cracks were appearing on his strong body, from which a dark yellow light emanated from the Abyss.
Soon, black smoke surged in Leo Bosk. This chaotic mist gradually condensed and eventually transformed into a black short spear.
The Spear of Revenge.
This is the product of pure malice, extreme hatred, and Abyssal Energy.
"Very good. Imagine your enemy's heart being pierced, and then throw it away."
There was joy in that voice.
"Go... go to hell!"
"Red Dragon!"
Leo Bosk looked up at the Red Dragon high in the sky, a twisted, fanatical smile on his cracked face, as he hurled his short spear with all his might.
"Whoosh—"
The Abyss torrent surged upstream, rushing straight towards the Red Dragon suspended high in the air.
However, the Silver Dragon in mid-air noticed all of this.
"Is that the power of the Abyss?"
"No!"
Olivia stared at the black short spear hurtling through the air, then looked at the Red Dragon that was still struggling, and her heart was filled with anxiety.
She continuously cast the School of Abjuration spells she knew, but she couldn't stop the Spear of Revenge, which carried the power of chaos, in the slightest.
"I"
"We must not let him be completely corrupted by that power."
Olivia gritted her teeth, a resolute glint in her eyes.
In the blink of an eye, the Young Silver Dragon vigorously flapped its wings and took the initiative to block the path of the black short spear, using its flesh and blood to block Keosius in front of it.
"Aww—"
Olivia let out a sharp wail.
The black spear mercilessly tore through the silver wings and continued flying into the sky.
The Silver Dragon fell helplessly from mid-air, its wings bearing hideous wounds that were being eroded by the thick fog of the Abyss.
The piercing wail finally jolted Keosius awake, and his pale golden vertical pupils regained their clarity.
"This is--
"Jezal Slack?"
Red Dragon turned his head, his expression immediately becoming extremely solemn—he could tell at a glance that this was the work of that "Revenge Devil," just like the previous one on Koman.
Without hesitation, he unleashed a deep green anti-magic ray.
However, this time the short spear contained little chaotic energy; it seemed to be merely meant to ignite Keosius's destructive urges and drive him into madness—thus, Magical Atrophy easily dismantled the rapidly approaching Spear of Revenge.
"Despicable humans!"
"How dare you borrow the power of the Abyss!"
Severely injured, Oszedro struggled to his feet, letting out a roar of shock and rage.
As the maintainer of the world's balance, the Ancient Silver Dragon has led the Mellward Family on the front lines of the fight against the Abyss for many years, and is naturally very familiar with this power.
But he never imagined that this Human Noble from the remote the North would become an agent of the demon.
"Elder, it's too dangerous here, let's leave quickly!"
"Your injuries are too severe; you can no longer fight!"
Leonard and several Silver Dragon dragged the heavily injured Oszedro and created Gate, preparing to leave with him.
"Old man, is this your dear ally in the the North, a human infected by the Abyss?"
"Is this the order you keep talking about?"
Keosius looked down at the ground and mocked without expression.
"You win, Keosius."
"Walk."
Oszedro looked up at him one last time, then said nothing more. He simply transformed into a disheveled human form and entered the portal with his Silver Dragon juniors and familiars, leaving the Anzeta Great Wasteland that had cost him so dearly.
The Red Dragon tore through space and appeared in front of Leo Bosk, its broad wings casting huge shadows that completely obscured the Human Noble standing in place.
Humans are so small in the face of such a colossal creature.
Leo Bosk's face turned pale as he looked up at the Red Dragon's massive body, his eyes filled with resentment and despair, his cracked head shaking incessantly.
No, no
"Things shouldn't be like this."
"I would have killed you and become the supreme ruler of the the North— "
"Boom--"
Before he could finish speaking, a sound of air exploding rang out, and flames completely engulfed him, turning the place where he had stood into a raging sea of fire.
Keosius sighed, "Another arrogant human, blinded by the Revenge Devil."
"However... things don't seem to be that simple."
Suddenly, blurry figures appeared in the sea of fire, accompanied by low laughter.
"We meet again, Keosius."
"Tsk, the Abyss Lord from ten thousand years ago, the Revenge Devil imprisoned by the gods in the Astral Plane, actually parasitizes a mortal body. How pathetic."
Keosius stared at the blurry figure with a sense of impending doom, not forgetting to utter a sarcastic remark.
"Keosius, we'll meet again soon."
No matter how hard you struggle, you cannot escape the inevitable fate of the universe.
The flames still crackled and burned, and the whispers of demons echoed within them.
The blurry figure vanished with a burst of lightning, leaving only a grotesque humanoid image on the nearby stone wall.
