Dragon Pact Sorcerer (Part 1)
"Here."
"Is this the royal palace?"
Misha cautiously surveyed her surroundings, her gaze sweeping over the tall, majestic city walls, the towering stone pillars, and finally landing on the imposing steel palace in the distance.
Old John had told her that this palace was the residence of His Your Majesty Keosius, and that it contained the treasures of the entire kingdom.
"Aww—"
Upon seeing Lang Pu and Misha arrive, the Wyvern on the stone pillars raised their heads and let out a long roar, while the Tiefling guarding the entrance bowed their heads in greeting.
Captain Ekemon of the Tiefling Guard stepped forward and said respectfully, "Good day, Lord Lang Pu, His Majesty is waiting for you in the main hall."
"I see."
Lang Pu nodded slightly in acknowledgment, then tapped his staff lightly, and descended to the ground with Misha, walking on foot.
Lang Pu walked in with practiced ease and said in a low voice, "This is His Your Majesty Keosius's residence, the most sacred and inviolable place in the entire kingdom. Here, any flight or teleportation spell will be considered an overstepping of authority."
"Even I must walk in, as a sign of respect for His Majesty."
The Ogre Mage was enormous. Even though he had deliberately slowed down, each step he took was still two meters long, making it a bit difficult for Misha to keep up.
But she still answered breathlessly, "Yes, sir."
However, when they were fully inside, the sight that came into view amazed Misha, and she stopped in her tracks for a moment.
"This is."
Although some newly cultivated vegetation covers the area, the ground is still covered with black, solidified lava, which is slightly undulating or broadly hilly, and even still appears to be flowing.
Another wave of hot, Sulfur Scent air hit her, making her feel as if she were in the crater of a volcano.
Lang Pu stopped and said excitedly, "See that? This is His Majesty's power. Even the unintentional leakage of power is beyond the imagination of ordinary beings."
"I will use magic to protect you."
He was about to raise his staff when he noticed that Misha had closed her eyes, taken a deep breath of the hot air, and even relaxed her whole body.
"No need, Mr. Lang Pu."
"Thank you for your concern, but I feel great now, better than ever before."
Misha slowly opened her eyes, the flames flickering in her brown pupils, and her pretty face was full of excitement.
For Sorcerer who are extremely compatible with Fire Elemental, entering the scorching environment created by the Red Dragon is like being in their element, allowing them to be filled with energy.
"That would be perfect."
A barely perceptible look of surprise crossed Lang Pu's face.
Misha's talent for feeling comfortable in such an extreme environment probably exceeds expectations, even making Lang Pu somewhat envious—he finally understands the feelings of those Sorcerer who contemptuously call warlocks "barbarians."
During the journey, Lang Pu repeatedly emphasized the supreme authority of the Red Dragon to Misha and reiterated the etiquette of the audience.
They walked along the road for several tens of minutes until they finally reached the end and saw the entire magnificent palace.
"Wow."
Despite having mentally prepared herself, Misha couldn't help but gasp when she looked up.
The Iron Dragon Wing Palace is built against the mountain, shaped like a wide-open Dragon Wing. The main body of the palace is made of refined steel, with hundreds of ferocious cracks made by Red Dragon on it. Even after several renovations, they cannot be completely covered up, but they show a certain sense of primal power.
Lang Pu bowed slightly and waited outside the palace, whispering, "Misha, this is the main hall of the palace, His Majesty's usual residence. Remember the etiquette I taught you."
"Go, His Majesty wishes to see you alone."
"Yes, Mr. Lang Pu, I will remember your teachings."
Misha nodded solemnly.
During this time, she would occasionally look back somewhat awkwardly, and only after Lang Pu signaled to her with his eyes that there was no problem did she dare to continue walking forward.
"Although Lord Lang Pu is a bit ugly, he is a kind and warm-hearted man—at least much better than those hypocritical nobles who should all be burned at the stake."
Misha thought to herself.
"I wonder what the legendary Emperor will be like."
As she pondered, she looked up and realized she was standing in front of the heavy door, and a sense of unease immediately filled her heart.
She called softly:
"Your Majesty, Your Majesty, I have arrived."
Before she could finish speaking, Misha quickly covered her mouth, realizing that she had forgotten the steps Lang Pu had taught her in her nervousness.
Fortunately, nothing unexpected happened.
"Boom--"
With a rumbling sound, the heavy door carved with a ferocious dragon head slowly opened.
Misha's legs were trembling, but she tried her best to control her nervousness and followed Lang Pu's instructions, bowing her head and walking in step by step until she finally knelt down in front of the steps.
"Your Majesty, I am Misha, and I have come to pay my respects to you."
"Don't be nervous, get up."
The voice carried a hint of laughter, suggesting it wasn't as cold and ruthless as one might imagine.
"Yes, Your Majesty."
Misha stood up, carefully raised her head, and finally saw the majestic figure on the throne.
The enormous red dragon sat atop Iron Throne, its surface rippling with lava-like waves. Several crown-like horns adorned the dragon's head, and flames flickered in its pale golden pupils.
The Red Dragon simply existed there, as if it were the embodiment of the Fire Elemental.
But strangely, although Misha felt Fearful Tremors, something stronger overwhelmed them—a sense of familiarity.
That's right, it's a sense of familiarity.
More accurately, it is dependence on a higher-level, same-originating power.
Firelight flickered in Misha's brown pupils as she felt the Fire Elemental within her being summoned. It pulsed and danced as if cheering, paying homage, and bowing down to the Red Dragon.
Meanwhile, Keosius was also carefully examining the girl in front of him, a hint of curiosity in his eyes.
"Misha."
"The ' Madfire Witch ' who killed countless players in her past life is still a child at this moment."
"That's really interesting."
In his eyes, the girl in front of him was almost beyond the realm of humanity, and could be classified as a half-magical creature, with every drop of blood in her body filled with Fire Elemental.
This talent had a more fitting name in its previous life—"Child of the Elements".
Misha hesitated, twisting the hem of her dress into a knot, unsure of what to say.
But it was Keosius who spoke first, calmly saying, "Lang Pu has already informed me of your purpose in coming. You want to take revenge on that Leo Bosk?"
"Yes, Your Majesty."
"That shameless bastard orchestrated the Margur Incident and brutally murdered my grandfather. I will avenge him!"
Misha quickly replied.
When she talked about this topic, her voice no longer trembled, but instead became more and more powerful.
