Dragon and Orcs
"His Your Majesty Keosius has made his move! I knew it! He really has been watching us all along!"
"Long live the Great Red Dragon! Long Live the Empire!"
The people in Dragon City cheered in unison, their voices shaking the heavens. From the moment the Red Dragon appeared, even as the Blood Spear that pierced the heavens and earth fell, no one felt fear anymore.
They all gazed at the sky with fervor and devotion, ready and confident to witness their emperor triumph over a god.
In the eyes of the Imperial People, Keosius was the symbol of victory and the embodiment of power, and there was absolutely no possibility of him being defeated.
The enormous dragon claw gripped the edge of the Space Rift, veins bulging on its arm, as it exerted tremendous force.
"Sizzle—"
Space was completely torn apart, and the ground suddenly went black. Humans, orcs, and Half-Dragon within a radius of a hundred miles all looked up and saw a huge and majestic head emerging from it, with flames dancing in its pale Golden Vertical Pupils that resembled lava balls.
Immediately afterwards, the broad wings that had been covering the city walls suddenly stretched out, followed by a mountain-like, undulating body and a giant tail.
In an instant, a scorching gale swept across the land, and the dragon's might, so strong it almost materialized, pressed down on the shoulders of every living being present, causing them to involuntarily feel an urge to submit.
Under the watchful eyes of countless people, Keosius tore through space and appeared above the Dragon City, his enormous body measuring over fifty meters long!
"Father God above!"
"What a huge dragon!"
"This... this is the Embers of the Burned Emperor?"
Even the resurrected beastmen were filled with surprise and trembling with fear; most of them were seeing such a powerful and enormous creature for the first time.
Hundreds of Wyvern in the Dragon City raised their heads in unison, stretched their necks, and roared in unison to cheer on the Red Dragon.
"Roar--"
The Red Dragon raised its head and roared at the giant spear that was falling from the sky, its voice shaking the heavens and the earth.
Just as the giant spear was about to pierce the earth, the dragon crystal on Keosius's chest burst forth with starlight.
"Boom--"
A silvery-white flame erupted from his throat and shot into the sky!
"Foolish Imperial People —not even Tiamat descending could save you, let alone a laughable Red Dragon!" The roar of the Orc God echoed across the wasteland, unleashing boundless divine power.
The giant spear, trailing Orc Fire, still carried an unstoppable force as it descended from the sky, meeting you head-on with its silvery-white flames.
Two completely different forces eroded and collided with each other, and the flowing flames containing primordial power and divine power instantly spread out, creating a magnificent and extremely dazzling explosion in the high sky.
"The power of order?"
Gruumsh stared at the Red Dragon in the distance, his expression momentarily blank, as if he were in a daze.
The sight in the distance was somewhat unbelievable to Him, who had fought for tens of thousands of years. How could an evil Red Dragon possess the power of order as pure as Bahamut? Could it be a golden Golden Dragon covered in red scales? Keosius seized this fleeting opportunity and poured all his energy into outputting energy, with various colored light spots bursting from the dragon crystal on his chest.
The Order Flame, the Sun God Power, the power of Bahamut, the Law Power of the Empire Domain, and other powers that are opposed to Chaotic Evil and can counteract the Orc Fire poured out and surged into the sky.
"Boom!"
A tremendous explosion rang out, and a scorching Shockwave spread rapidly, causing a wave of heat to hit all living things within a radius of dozens of miles.
The giant spear suddenly exploded in mid-air, and the mottled divine power attached to it scattered, turning into countless streams of flame and turbulent currents, which were eventually destroyed by the power of Keosius.
The giant spear completely disintegrated, returning to its original form—a bloodstained wooden spear, only a little over six meters long, seemingly ordinary, yet exuding an aura of extreme chaos and evil.
That is Gruumsh's Blood Spear, which is said to have wounded the gods Corellon and Moradin, and is stained with their blood, thus causing essential damage to Elf and Dwarf.
However, Gruumsh descended in an avatar, and the Blood Spear in front of him was also a material projection of divine power, but it still contained a wisp of true primordial divine power.
"This is good stuff!"
With a greedy expression, Keosius flapped his wings and soared into the air, exhaling a terrifying, Plundering Breath, intending to devour the Blood Spear.
"Greedy Reptile," Gruumsh sneered, suddenly raising his arm. The Blood Spear instantly tore through space and returned to his hand.
Gazing at the colossal, Red Dragon dragon in the distance, a dragon that seemed to defy the limits of its race, the Orc God finally set aside his contempt for mortals and began to take it seriously.
As a deity in the War Domain, in that instant, Gruumsh saw through the Red Dragon's information through his sharp, cloudy single eye—
The body of the Progenitor Dragon, the Chaos Power of the Abyss, the power of order in the Material Plane, the origin of heaven, the divine power of the Sun God and Bahamut, the authority of the Elemental Plane, and even a wisp of Dumasong's divine power. What exactly is this thing? Progenitor Dragon? Elemental Lord? Or a demigod? In Gruumsh's eyes, this thing is like a hodgepodge, with all sorts of mutually exclusive and hostile forces coexisting peacefully within it, which even He finds somewhat unbelievable.
This guy is definitely not an ordinary creature.
Even so, Gruumsh remained confident that after thousands of years, He had returned to the earth and would surely lead the orcs on a glorious yet bloody path to rise.
Thinking of this, Gruumsh raised his Blood Spear, pointed it at the Red Dragon, and said with a stern expression, "Red Dragon, do you know what kind of being you have provoked?"
Keosius did not answer, but looked down at the incarnation of the god, turning his head to the side as if he were listening attentively.
Seeing that the other party showed no fear, a barely concealed rage appeared in Gruumsh's single eye.
"Standing before you is the great Orc God! Cease your blasphemy! If you are willing to submit to me—I may spare your life and make you my mount!"
Keosius glanced sideways at the Orc God, feeling the immense divine power emanating from him, and grinned, "Gruumsh, I have a more reasonable plan."
"How about making the orcs my kin? The Empire will treat you generously, and you will become the leader of the kin, kneeling before me—that would be your honor."
"Blasphemer! You're asking for death!"
In an instant, fury blazed in Gruumsh's single eye!
His body trembled, and his Greater God strength erupted completely. A violent storm swept across the land, and his scarlet Divine Power Domain enveloped the space within a radius of dozens of miles, including the Red Dragon.
Holding Blood Spear, Gruumsh rose into the air amidst billowing black clouds, confronting the Red Dragon in the distance.
Meanwhile, Keosius narrowed his eyes, observing the avatar of the Orc God.
He unleashed a multitude of Divination Spell, including the Calamity Dragon Eye and the True Sight Eye, but under the obstruction of divine power and the suppression of his rank, all these chaotic methods failed, and Keosius could only see a blurry, ferocious single eye.
Only a comprehensive system assessment can be of any effect.
[One-Eyed God - Gewushi (Avatar of Divine Power)]
Challenge Rating: 38 This was the first time he had faced a divine incarnation of this level. The previous Dumasong was only an incarnation of medium-level divine power, and it had not used its full strength. The Righteous Three Saints were also just projections of divine power.
Now, Keosius is truly about to become an enemy of a god.
The avatar of Gruumsh was only six meters tall, and like its material counterpart, Soro, it appeared quite small in comparison to Keosius.
However, the divinity of the Orc God endowed this avatar with many extraordinary qualities, such as immense strength, immortality, the ability to distort reality, Divine Power Domain, and a bloodthirsty nature.
—As the embodiment of Greater God, this avatar of Gruumsh's is even more powerful than most demigods! "Truly worthy of being the avatar of Greater God deity."
Keosius licked his lips, a hint of excitement flashing in his pale golden vertical pupils. He roared with extreme excitement, "Old greenskin! You're the one who's asking for death! Our Embers of the Burned Empire avenged you and dealt with the Dwarf enemies on our doorstep, yet you shamelessly come to our door and even try to invade our territory. You are utterly shameless!"
Gruumsh said in a deep voice, "Red Dragon, Avendell Dan is not your territory; it is the land I bestowed upon the orcs!"
"Given?"
Keosius retorted with a hint of mockery, "When did a city built by Dwarf and occupied by them for thousands of years become your orc territory? Just because you 'bestowed' it on us? What a complete joke! Well then, I'll also bestow the Nishrek Kingdom upon my people, old greenskin, can you hand over your divine kingdom to us?"
Since we're already locked in a life-or-death struggle, there's no need to care about blasphemy.
The Red Dragon flapped its wings, unleashing its dragon might and the power of its Empire Domain, causing the surrounding crimson divine Divine Power Domain to shatter instantly.
A huge spherical space appeared in the sky, where the Red Dragon's territory and Gruumsh's domain collided and canceled each other out, creating turbulent currents at the boundary of the two domains that annihilated everything and tore apart all things, even distorting space itself.
Keosius was like a luminous celestial body, radiating its light and heat high in the sky, enveloping everything around it—including the Dragon City.
"Mortal, you have made the worst decision of your life—to be my enemy! To be the enemy of the orcs! Soon, you will be kneeling at my feet, crying and begging for my life!" Gruumsh's voice was filled with resentment, rage, and the aura of divine power.
In an instant, countless Imperial People —including Keosius —envisioned mountains of corpses and seas of blood, the Dragon City reduced to ruins, while the one-eyed orc coldly glared at them.
Those Imperial People with slightly weaker minds would have their eyes roll back and faint on the spot under such an impact, or even be scared to death.
This is the power of the gods!
The so-called "words become law" is by no means an exaggeration. With the blessing of divine power, simple words are enough to kill a person.
"You're resorting to these kinds of tricks, aren't you? You think you're the only one who knows how to do this?"
Keosius looked down at the multitude of orcs, a barely perceptible glint flashing in his golden vertical pupils—the power of the True Dragon Sorcerer distorted reality!
In an instant, an incredibly terrifying phantom appeared before the orcs' eyes: a crimson dragon, larger than a mountain and thousands of meters long, spewing out endless seas of fire, burning the orcs to ashes.
"Father God above!"
"No, no, this isn't real! But why are those flames really burning my body!"
Once the illusion is believed to be real, the person affected by the spell will also suffer harm in reality—for example, being burned to ashes by flames.
This is the Seventh-Circle Spell that Keosius created based on the "Tiamat's Terrifying Illusion"—"Keosius's Terrifying Illusion."
However, Gruumsh remained unmoved, coldly stating, "What a boring trick. Orcs who can be fooled by such illusions are not worthy of being my subjects."
Keosius flapped his wings and ascended, not forgetting to taunt, "That's why I've almost wiped out all your people on the Feanso Continent! Tsk tsk, in front of the Empire's weapons, your people are like a bunch of pitiful ants, easily slaughtered by my minions."
"You will die a much worse death!" Gruumsh's face grew even more ferocious as he followed closely behind the Red Dragon, climbing at an unimaginable speed.
Keosius's words undoubtedly struck a nerve with Gruumsh. In just a few days, millions of orcs had died in the Material Plane!
Although the faith of those Green-skinned Orcs was mostly shallow, it still provided a considerable amount of faith for this Orc God. Moreover, the strength of a race would also affect the power of the race god itself.
Even for Gruumsh, who controls almost all the orcs in the multiverse, this is by no means a small amount.
If the Material Plane hadn't been not yet fully open, Gruumsh would have loved to descend into the world in his true form and tear this Red Dragon to shreds.
"Whoosh—"
Gruumsh traversed space and appeared above the Red Dragon's head, his Blood Spear, imbued with destructive power, piercing towards its left eye.
Keosius opened his mouth and spat out a stream of Chaos Fire, creating a huge hole in front of him that swallowed the Blood Spear. Rolling fire clouds surged from beneath his wings, gradually obscuring the sky.
Then, he flapped his wings and transformed into a crimson afterimage, darting through the sky filled with fiery clouds and thick smoke.
However, as a god, Gruumsh's single eye could see through the essence of all things. He gently raised his hand, and the Blood Spear pierced through space, carrying divine flames that could destroy everything, flying towards the heart of the Red Dragon.
Suddenly, the crown on Keosius's head lit up, the gem was activated, and an extremely cold north wind blew in, extinguishing the flame.
And so, high in the sky, the orc gods and the dragons chased each other, constantly leaping through space, with bursts of intense explosions and Shockwave surging forth, almost tearing the sky into a tattered rag.
On the land, the orcish armies and the imperial armies clashed once again.
"For the Father God!"
"For the rise of the orcs!"
Under the Scarlet Domain of Gruumsh, the orcs are in a state of high spirits and possess immense strength. Even if they are shot through, they can quickly recover. Even if their heads are blown apart, they can grow back, making them virtually immortal.
"For the Embers of the Burned Empire!"
"Long live His Your Majesty Keosius! Slay these greenskins!"
"When His Majesty the Emperor returns victorious, we too will achieve victory!"
With Keosius present, the morale of the Imperial soldiers soared, and they were full of confidence in victory. They all wanted to show off in front of His Majesty, and the bullets and cannon fire were even more intense than before.
And so the two sides continued their unfinished war, fighting fiercely and evenly.
But both the orcs and the Imperial People knew very well that the outcome of the war did not depend on them, but on the two in the sky.
