Ch. 182Winter's Fall (2)

Keosius drew Kasa into an aerial battle to make the Frost Giant reveal the divine power behind his weapon. He ended the fight by using Kingdom Domain: Nullification to suppress that power, leaving Kasa defeated and Winter’s Roar under his control.

  • Keosius taunted Kasa and used his enhanced speed to keep out of the Frost Giant’s reach.
  • Keosius unleashed Maximized Fire Breath, but Winter’s Roar absorbed the flames, and Kasa counterattacked with ice blades.
  • Keosius continued guiding Kasa through the air while waiting for his spell’s power to peak.
  • Keosius activated Kingdom Domain: Nullification in the Frost Giant’s burial ground, suppressing the magic and divine power around them.
  • Kasa fell from the sky as Winter’s Roar melted, and Keosius seized control of the weapon.

Ch. 183Winter's Fall (3)

Keosius killed Kasa and returned to the battlefield carrying his ashes and armor, then demanded the Frost Giants surrender or die. Baya led a group of warriors in a charge, and Keosius struck them with Burning Stone Haze.

  • Keosius killed Kasa with Maximized Flame Breath and stored the ice crystal containing divine energy.
  • Keosius gained the Frost Giant's Foe status, raised True Dragon Sorcerer to level 11, and learned Distant Spell, Burning Stone Haze, and Aerial Maneuvering.
  • Keosius gathered Kasa's ashes and equipment and flew back to the battle north of Trill's Gullet.
  • Keosius announced Kasa's death and demanded that the Frost Giants become slaves or die.
  • Baya called Keosius a liar and charged with more than thirty Frost Giant Warriors.
  • Keosius unleashed Burning Stone Haze, engulfing the charging Frost Giants in volcanic rocks and ash.

Ch. 184Glacier Destruction Battle (I)

After capturing the surviving Frost Giants from Kasa’s army, Keosius planned to destroy the Everfrost Tribe’s faith and enslave its people. At Vahalla Glacier, Nur prepared the remaining tribe to face the approaching disaster and secretly sent Koman Everfrost away to preserve their bloodline.

  • Keosius ordered the captured Frost Giants bound and taken south as Imperial slaves, then learned that Nur Everfrost led the survivors at Vahalla Glacier.
  • Nur saw the prophecy of a calamity in the Truth Ice Orb and summoned the young warriors, telling them Kasa’s expedition had been wiped out.
  • Nur showed the warriors a vision of the Red Dragon and the Frost Giants dying in lava, then ordered the women and children evacuated while the warriors stayed to fight.
  • Koman Everfrost vowed to avenge his father, but Nur gave him a Shapeshifting Ring and ordered him to flee south to the Anstica Mountains and preserve the Everfrost bloodline.

Ch. 185Glacier Destruction Battle (II)

Keosius arrived at Vahalla Glacier and faced the Everfrost Tribe’s Frost Giants, who believed their battle was a trial from Solem. The Frost Giants’ attacks and Centipede Demon Beasts failed to stop him, and the tribe remained helpless against the airborne Red Dragon.

  • Nur told Keosius that the Frost Giants saw his arrival as a trial from Solem and a chance to restore their glory.
  • Koch rallied the Frost Giant Warriors, who attacked Keosius with spears, stones, ice spikes, and arrows.
  • Keosius blocked the projectiles with magical shields and unleashed flames across the glacier.
  • The Frost Giant hunters summoned eleven Centipede Demon Beasts to attack Keosius.
  • Keosius used lightning and claw-shaped force fields to kill more than half the beasts, forcing the survivors to retreat beneath the ice.
  • Keosius continued attacking from the air while the Frost Giants struggled to harm him.

Ch. 186Glacier Destruction Battle (3)

Keosius fought the Frost Giants guarding Solem’s holy ground, and Nur unleashed the devastating Solem Ice Blade Domain in a desperate attempt to stop him. Keosius escaped into an Alternate Dimension and returned, preparing to strike the survivors with Vengeful Storm.

  • Koch asked Nur what to do, and Nur crushed an ice crystal to unleash Everfrost Power against Keosius.
  • Keosius charged toward Nur as Koch and the Frost Giant Warriors tried to stop him; he killed Koch and several warriors.
  • Nur cast Solem Ice Blade Domain, freezing the surrounding space and trapping the Frost Giants in a field of deadly ice blades.
  • Keosius used Shelter Egg to escape into an Alternate Dimension, while Nur remained trapped and died inside a massive ice crystal.
  • Keosius returned through a portal, declared that none of the Frost Giants could be spared, and activated Vengeful Storm with the Storm King’s Eye.

Ch. 187Glacier Destruction Battle (4)

The Frost Giants sacrificed themselves to summon Solem's Winter Avatar, an Ice Crystal Giant driven by their final hatred. Keosius unleashed an empowered Ninth Circle Vengeful Storm to destroy it and the Everfrost tribe, while the battered giant kept charging through the storm.

  • More than thirty Everfrost Rune-carved Frost Giants stabbed themselves with ice spikes and summoned Solem's Winter Avatar from the glacier.
  • Keosius invoked the Storm King's Eye and cast Vengeful Storm, expanding and empowering it until the spell became impossible to stop.
  • The storm spread across the glacier, and its thunder waves and acid rain cracked and scarred the charging Ice Crystal Giant.
  • Six lightning bolts struck the giant's axe, vaporizing it and shattering the giant's right arm.
  • The Ice Crystal Giant seized an ice spike with its remaining arm and continued charging Keosius as hail battered its damaged body.

Ch. 188Glacier Destruction Battle (5)

Keosius watched the Vengeful Storm destroy the Ice Crystal Giant and continued ravaging the Frost Giants’ homeland. After the Everfrost Tribe was wiped out, Keosius received experience, an achievement, and a new trait.

  • The Ice Crystal Giant endured the Vengeful Storm and charged toward Keosius, but a barrage of lightning shattered most of its body.
  • The Ice Crystal Giant crawled to Keosius’s claw, touched it, and shattered before it could finish calling him Everfrost’s enemy.
  • Keosius collected an ice crystal and considered having Lang Pu study the strange creature.
  • The Vengeful Storm continued to destroy the Frost Giants’ fortress, holy land, hunting grounds, and ice valley.
  • Keosius learned that he had killed Solem’s Winter Avatar, destroyed the Everfrost Tribe, and gained the Frost Giant Destroyer achievement and Frost Giant Killer trait.

Ch. 189Glacier Destruction Battle (End)

After Keosius annihilated the Everfrost Tribe with the Vengeful Storm, Count Trischka realized the Embers of the Burned Kingdom had become too powerful for Bosque Duchy to challenge. He agreed to end Bosque’s covert operations and accept a peace treaty, while a later chronicle described the rise of the Dragon Scourge.

  • Trischka, Morr, and Yelina watched the Vengeful Storm devastate Vahalla Glacier and learned the Everfrost Tribe had been annihilated.
  • Trischka concluded that Keosius had cast a spell at least as powerful as a Ninth Circle Spell and that Bosque Duchy could not oppose the Embers of the Burned Kingdom.
  • Mezhuolash confronted the Bosque delegation, and Trischka promised to report the defeat, end covert operations, and accept the compensation treaty.
  • Mezhuolash said Keosius preferred peace but warned that the Embers of the Burned Kingdom would retaliate against any nation that tested its strength.
  • Duke Luton’s chronicle recounted the Frost Giants’ destruction and described the Red Dragon’s rule as a greater disaster for the North.

Ch. 190Clearing the Battlefield

After the Frost Giant Tribe was destroyed, the armies and players looted the battlefield while Lang Pu punished Da Tou for eating humanoid meat. Steamed Bun, Singo, Born Battle Maniac, and Xia Ye Qiuyu regrouped and agreed to explore the Karkha Mountains before the Internal Beta ended.

  • The Embers of the Burned Kingdom cleared the battlefield as players scavenged Frost Giant remains and equipment.
  • Da Tou ate Frost Giant flesh, triggering Lang Pu's Ogre Discipline Technique, and Lang Pu stormed out to confront him after the spell struck again.
  • Steamed Bun and Singo discussed the battle and their lack of progress, while Born Battle Maniac recounted killing Frost Giants with his bare hands.
  • Xia Ye Qiuyu joined the group and described using fire against the Frost Giants, then the four players agreed to explore the Karkha Mountains.

Ch. 191Encounter Battle

Xia Ye Qiuyu returned with the main group to rest, while Singo, Steamed Bun, and Born Battle Maniac explored the Karkha Mountains and discovered a nest of Dragon Vein Gnolls. Outnumbered and separated in the valley, the three fled in different directions as the Gnolls split up to pursue them.

  • Xia Ye Qiuyu left the trio to return with the main group for a long rest.
  • Singo warned Steamed Bun and Born Battle Maniac when strange howls and shadows appeared in the valley.
  • Singo exposed a group of Dragon Vein Gnolls, and the trio attacked while Singo tried to keep some alive for capture.
  • More Gnolls poured from the cliffs, and their leader used Freezing Breath to frost the ground near Steamed Bun.
  • Steamed Bun proposed splitting up to escape, and the three ran in different directions as the Gnolls divided to chase them.

Ch. 192Snow Hut Girl

Mantou fled mutant Gnolls into a remote cabin, where Valena charmed him with a cozy welcome and stories about the outside world. Singo broke the illusion just as Mantou was about to drink the strange liquid, revealing that Valena was part of a grotesque monster in a bloodstained metal chamber.

  • Mantou escaped the pursuing mutant Gnolls and found a cabin on Snow Peak.
  • Mantou entered the cabin, where Valena offered him tea and introduced herself as the owner's daughter.
  • Valena asked Mantou to describe the outside world, and they talked through the night as she nestled into his arms.
  • Valena urged Mantou to drink more tea, but Singo shouted that Mantou was under an illusion.
  • Mantou dropped the cup and saw that Valena was a stitched-together monster in a cold metal chamber.

Ch. 193Fleeing in Panic

Steamed Bun and Singo escaped a stitched monster that had disguised itself as Valena and nearly trapped Steamed Bun with an illusion. They identified their location as the Polar Night Demon Tower, but War Maniac Bro remained missing.

  • Steamed Bun and Singo attacked the monster, but its tough hide deflected their strikes and it swallowed Steamed Bun's Silver Sword.
  • Singo told Steamed Bun that the cabin and Valena were illusions, then used Dragon Roar Charge to stun the monster and wake him from his fear.
  • Steamed Bun and Singo fled through a hidden door, narrowly avoiding Valena's freezing breath.
  • Singo identified the creature's breath as likely coming from White Dragon blood and the tower as the Polar Night Demon Tower.
  • Steamed Bun asked where War Maniac Bro was, and Singo said they had been separated when they encountered Gnolls.

Ch. 194Valena's Diary

Singo and Steamed Bun found an abandoned child’s bedroom hidden inside the tower and discovered Valena’s diary. Its entries revealed how Valena’s father changed after her mother’s death and subjected Valena to painful experiments intended to transform her.

  • Singo found and picked a secret door, then led Steamed Bun through a narrow tunnel into a hidden room.
  • Singo discovered Valena’s diary in a desk drawer, and Steamed Bun read its childish entries about Valena’s lonely life in the tower.
  • Valena’s diary described her father leaving, her mother returning with news that he had been chosen as a sacrifice, and her mother later dying.
  • Valena wrote that her father had become frightening and brought Mary to the tower, then kept Valena from seeing her.
  • Valena recorded growing scales and back spikes, smelling Mary’s scent in the meat her father fed her, and having her hands replaced; the next pages had been torn out.

Ch. 195Polar Night Demon Tower

Steamed Bun and Singo explored the Polar Night Demon Tower, discovered it was a mage's experimental base filled with dragonified monsters, and fled a horde of them. They reunited with Born Battle Maniac after he opened a steel door and cut down a pursuing centaur.

  • Steamed Bun vowed to put Valena to rest, but Singo warned that her father was in the tower and Battle Maniac was still missing.
  • Singo and Steamed Bun killed a patrol of seven gnolls in the passageway.
  • The gnolls' cries roused a horde of dragonified creatures, and Singo realized the tower was an experimental base controlled by the mage who had lured them there.
  • Steamed Bun and Singo fled the monsters and reached a locked steel door as dragonified centaurs closed in.
  • Born Battle Maniac burst through the door, killed a centaur with his axe, and reunited with Steamed Bun and Singo.

Ch. 196Magic Jar

Steamed Bun touched a Magic Jar in the Polar Night Demon Tower and was possessed by the wizard Wagnerd, who revealed his history of transforming people into draconic experiments. Wagnerd defeated Born Battle Maniac and took control of Singo, leaving both companions at his mercy.

  • Born Battle Maniac led Steamed Bun and Singo to a secret chamber and showed them a strange jar.
  • Steamed Bun touched the Magic Jar, and Wagnerd's soul possessed his body while Steamed Bun's soul was trapped inside the jar.
  • Wagnerd introduced himself and described how he had experimented on his daughter and created draconic monsters.
  • Singo attacked Wagnerd, but a magical force field shattered his arrow, and Wagnerd warned that Steamed Bun's body would die if his soul fragment was destroyed.
  • Born Battle Maniac charged Wagnerd and fell asleep under Eyebite, while Singo's wake-up device roused him.
  • Wagnerd cast Dominate Person and seized control of Singo.

Ch. 197Red Dragon's Gaze

Wagnerd controlled Singo and brought the Born Battle Maniac to his laboratory, where he studied the man's Red Dragon blood and became interested in Keosius. Keosius caught Wagnerd spying through Steamed Bun and struck back with Tiamat's Terror Illusion, destroying the spying soul fragment after it sent a faint message to Wagnerd's main body.

  • Wagnerd used psychic links to control Singo and made him carry the unconscious Born Battle Maniac to the Demon Dragon Land.
  • Wagnerd examined the Born Battle Maniac and marveled that pure Red Dragon blood and dragon features had naturally merged with a humanoid body.
  • Keosius saw Wagnerd's spying through the Calamity Dragon Eye's Past Sight and recognized Steamed Bun in the vision.
  • Keosius cast Tiamat's Terror Illusion across the Storm Highlands to confront Wagnerd for spying on him.
  • Wagnerd mistook the illusion for Tiamat's descent, then used his soul fragment's remaining power to send information to his main body before the illusion erased it.

Ch. 198Awakened Players

Singo discovered that Wagnerd had vanished and helped Mantou and Born Battle Maniac recover in the ruined Testing Ground. After learning Wagnerd had mentioned Keosius, they realized the hidden instance might connect to an important quest and decided to explore it.

  • Singo confirmed Mantou’s identity with a quiz and learned Wagnerd had used Mantou’s body before suddenly disappearing.
  • Mantou recalled that Wagnerd had called Valena an experiment and mentioned Keosius before he vanished.
  • Singo freed Born Battle Maniac from the metal bed and revived him with an awakening agent.
  • Born Battle Maniac mistook Mantou for the possessing monster and punched him before Singo explained what had happened.
  • Singo told the others they had stumbled into a Hidden Instance, and Born Battle Maniac eagerly prepared to explore it.

Ch. 199Five-Headed Dragon Monster

Singo, Born Battle Maniac, and Steamed Bun discovered a sleeping Five-Headed Dragon Monster in Wagnerd’s laboratory, but Steamed Bun’s noise woke it and it broke free. The group fought back, though the monster overwhelmed them and sent Born Battle Maniac crashing into a wall.

  • Born Battle Maniac and Steamed Bun entered a quiet laboratory and found the chained Five-Headed Dragon Monster asleep on a metal table.
  • Singo read a plaque identifying the monster as Wagnerd’s failed creation for the Five-Colored Dragon Queen, and Steamed Bun accidentally stepped on a scalpel.
  • The Five-Headed Dragon Monster woke, snapped its shackles, and charged at the group, prompting Born Battle Maniac to attack while Singo marked it with his bow.
  • Born Battle Maniac struck the monster’s neck, and Steamed Bun wounded its exposed flesh with rapid sword strikes.
  • The monster attacked both fighters with its heads and claws, then hit Born Battle Maniac with its tail and sent him flying into a wall.

Ch. 200Battle in the Tower

Singo, Steamed Bun, and Born Battle Maniac fought the Five-Headed Dragon Monster in the tower, but fled when it unleashed Frost Breath. They escaped into a dark passage leading to Wagnerd’s largest Testing Ground, where the monster refused to follow.

  • Born Battle Maniac and Steamed Bun attacked the Five-Headed Dragon Monster while Singo searched for an opening.
  • Singo told Steamed Bun to use Dragon Roar, then shot three heads in their vulnerable throats with a Splitting Arrow.
  • The wounded dragon monster ate its dead heads, became a Two-Headed Dragon Monster, and drove the players into retreat with Frost Breath.
  • Singo, Steamed Bun, and Born Battle Maniac ran into a large passage toward the tower’s central Testing Ground.
  • The Two-Headed Dragon Monster stopped at the entrance, frightened by something inside, while Steamed Bun taunted it from within.

Ch. 201The Bound White Dragon

Singo, Born Battle Maniac, and Steamed Bun ventured deeper into the passage and discovered a White Dragon named Tinia bound and tortured in an underground laboratory. They found Wagnerd’s plaque identifying her as a specimen with a thin Ancestor Bloodline.

  • Singo sensed that the Two-Headed Dragon Monster feared something deeper in the passage, so he led Born Battle Maniac and Steamed Bun onward.
  • The three found claw marks, bloodstains, and shed dragon scales, which Steamed Bun collected before joining the others as they pressed ahead.
  • The group felt the pressure of a True Dragon and followed a muffled growl into a vast hall.
  • Singo, Born Battle Maniac, and Steamed Bun discovered Tinia, a White Dragon bound by magic chains and drained of blood amid experimental equipment.
  • Steamed Bun read Tinia’s damaged plaque, which quoted Wagnerd describing her as a perfect specimen with a thin Ancestor Bloodline.
