Battle in the Tower
The Born Battle Maniac had already gotten up from the ground. He brandished his battle axe and charged towards the Five-Headed Dragon Monster while roaring.
"Ugly thing!"
"Your Battle Maniac grandpa is here!"
He smashed the ferocious head that was attacking him with an axe and swung it toward the long neck, but was once again violently knocked away by another head.
The Steamed Bun scrambled to the left, dodging the dragon monster's gaping maw once more, but was still scalded by the splattering slime and cried out in pain.
"This guy's head was definitely sewn on by Wyvern; I'm all too familiar with that feeling of corrosion."
Having dodged another heavy stampede, he turned to look at Singo in the distance and couldn't help but curse:
"Damn it, do something to help!"
"War Maniac Bro and I are fighting tooth and nail in front of you, Xin Gou, don't just slack off in the back!"
Singo observed the chaotic battle from a distance. Steamed Bun and the Born Battle Maniac were completely suppressed by the Five-Headed Dragon Monster, and he couldn't find a good opportunity.
These Five-Headed Dragon Monster have thick skin and scales protecting their bodies, so arrows are unlikely to cause them enough damage unless they are aimed at vital points.
"Without a spellcaster, fighting this kind of monster is really troublesome."
Singo waited a moment, and when he saw the monster's five heads rise up in unison, revealing its vulnerable throat, his eyes lit up.
He immediately shouted, "Steamed Bun, now!"
"Summon Dragon Roar!"
Singo has used up his Dragon Shouts for today and is currently recovering. However, as a fellow Red Scale Conqueror, Steamed Bun can also unleash Dragon Shouts, although their effect is much weaker than when he has Wyvern Mount Resonance.
"Damn, you're giving orders now."
Are you playing Pokémon here?
Steamed Bun grumbled inwardly, but his body didn't dare to slack off in the slightest. He subconsciously Big Mouth and instantly activated his skill.
"Roar--"
As [Dragon Roar Charge] was activated, a thunderous roar emanated from deep within Steamed Bun's throat.
The sound was like the roar of Red Dragon. This power from Keosius made the Five-Headed Dragon Monster feel a strong bloodline pressure, and it froze in place, maintaining its head-raised posture.
Singo drew a black arrow, gleaming with a cold light, from the quiver on his back. The arrow was engraved with crack-like patterns.
He drew his Hunting Longbow to its full draw, aimed with only his right eye, and released it in the time it took to take a single breath.
"Whoosh—"
All that could be heard was the sharp whistling sound of an arrow piercing the air.
That special arrow suddenly split into three in mid-air, scattering in different directions and shooting towards the throats of the dragon monster's three heads.
The arrow pierced the thin, scale-free skin at the throat, breaking through the dragon monster's blood vessels that flowed with filthy blood, and penetrating deep into its hideous head.
The Hunter Mark was also flickering slightly, and the power of the spell continued to tear apart the already severe wound, completely shredding the flesh and blood.
Blood gushed out.
Three waterfalls of blood appeared in mid-air.
The dragon monster's three hideous heads struggled in mid-air, swaying back and forth, before drooping limply.
Although these Five-Headed Dragon Monster were stitched together, with each of their five heads possessing its own will, their nerves had long been linked together by Wagnerd's magic, and they shared the same sense of pain.
As three heads were struck by the Splitting Arrow, the remaining two heads felt intense pain and immediately let out cries of agony.
"Aww—"
But then, a chilling scene unfolded: the remaining two heads bit off the dead head, opened their mouths to an exaggerated degree, and swallowed one of their own dead heads with a "gulp" sound, even trying to eat another one.
The dragon's consciousness had been replaced by a voracious desire to eat, to the point that it had lost its reason and could even devour "itself" as food—but there was no doubt that this also provided it with valuable energy.
Singo intended to take advantage of the dragon monster's feeding time to shoot another arrow, hoping to kill it in one fell swoop, but his hand reaching for the quiver missed its target.
"Holy crap!"
He couldn't help but curse out loud.
The ever-abundant arrows were used up in the battle! Steamed Bun and the Born Battle Maniac rushed in from the left and right sides respectively, but the dragon monster's thick, long tail suddenly swept out, knocking the two unprepared men flying.
The Two-Headed Dragon Monster, its mouth full of blood, gulped it down before raising its head. Its two eyes were fixed on Singo in the distance, a hint of cunning in its murky eyes—it, as a pure beast, also possessed its own unique wisdom.
The dragon monster slightly opened its mouth, and a chill emanated from deep within its throat.
Singo realized the scene was familiar, and as if recalling something, he quickly shouted, "It's Frost Breath!"
The dragon monster's two heads simultaneously spewed out frosty white breath, covering everything in their path with a layer of frost, and even freezing solid ice.
If you get hit by this Frost Breath, you'll most likely be turned into an ice sculpture and lose your life, which would be a waste of the hard-won dungeon opportunity!
"Run!"
Singo said without hesitation.
The frost behind him was like a road that kept spreading, chasing after him at a visible speed.
Seeing this, Steamed Bun and Born Battle Maniac quickly got up from the ground and followed in Singo's footsteps as they rushed out the door—their condition wasn't much better either; they had almost exhausted all their means of dealing with the situation, so running away was their only option.
"Roar--"
The dragon monster raised its two heads simultaneously, roaring, and then grabbed the door and rushed out, its massive body even smashing through the walls around the door.
We need to find a way to shake him off!
"Otherwise, you'll freeze into an ice cube and be swallowed sooner or later!"
"Steamed Bun shouted anxiously, and he could even feel a thin layer of frost covering his back."
The dragon monster's ferocious claws and teeth swung in the air, nearly catching the desperately fleeing steamed Steamed Bun several times.
Singo looked at the long corridor in front of him, staring at the metal doors, when he suddenly noticed a huge hole more than ten meters high in the wall in the distance.
Unlike the surrounding laboratories, this passageway seemed to lead to the center of the tower, connecting to Wagnerd's largest Testing Ground.
Singo gritted his teeth and said:
"Let's take a gamble! Let's go straight in!"
Steamed Bun narrowly escaped the Frost Breath again, and cried out in a panic, "Okay, I'll listen to you, but don't get me into trouble!"
"Three, two, one."
"Walk!"
Just as they reached the entrance to the passage, the three of them suddenly turned, dodging the dragon monster's sharp claws, and entered the dark and deep cave together.
The dragon instinctively tried to follow the food inside, but as soon as its head went in, it let out a groan and abruptly withdrew, as if it had seen something terrifying.
It clung to the entrance of the cave, letting out threatening growls at the players inside.
"Roar--"
Panting heavily, the Steamed Bun bent over, still shouting towards the outside of the cave, "Ugly thing!"
"Come in if you dare!"
"Roar!"
The Two-Headed Dragon Monster outside the cave roared again, its face contorted with rage, but it remained timid and hesitant, not daring to step even a single step into the passage.
