After leaving Silver Mirror Continent, Ivette did not take a direct route back to Ish Island. Instead, she chose to travel through Emerald Continent, the Polar Region, Black Tide Continent, and then Ish Island.
She particularly cherished these two continents without rulers now. Before any rulers were born, she planned to squeeze them dry in a sustainable manner one more time. She would also make a trip to Mysterious Garden to see whether that locked door could be opened.
Three years later, after passing through Emerald Continent, whose Aberration Magic resources had already been severely depleted, Ivette visited the Polar Region again and found the entrance to Mysterious Garden.
But what surprised her was that, for some unknown reason, even the gates of Mysterious Garden had been bound by those dark-red chains over the years. They would not even let her enter directly.
After approaching, she attacked with Shadow Tendrils. Although it produced a more noticeable effect, it was still not enough to sever the chains.
Abera tried as well, using the corrosive black magic she was so proud of—what she called Venom Magic.
The result was the same. The effect was not even particularly noticeable. After corroding it for ages, she had only made a few moonlike pits on its surface. The moment she stopped, it immediately returned to normal, nearly enraging Abera to death. In the end, she switched to physical methods. After punching and kicking it for a long while without result, she decided to stop while she could and haughtily acknowledged the chains' strength.
The trip to Mysterious Garden ended in failure. Along the way, they cleared out some Mutants unique to the Polar Region. Together with the meager gains from three years in Emerald Continent, Ivette earned another 20,000 units of Aberration Magic—barely enough for
