|---|---|---|
| Third-stage elite | 83 | Obtained intelligence and fragmented human memories; was selected by the Purple Commander for promotion. |
| Fourth stage | 84 | Her level before her recent Lord-stage promotion; her knowledge was limited by this former rank. |

Background
Abera was a local elite of the Black Tide Continent. After the Purple Commander arrived in Kuks, her intelligence distinguished her from other Aberrations; she was promoted and reinforced into one of the three guardians of Kuks's Pale Mother Nest. Unlike the other guardians, she had no marine characteristics. Her promotion also bound her to the Mother Nest, whose control could compel disobedient Divine Offspring to commit suicide. 83
As Kuks's Spider Witch, Abera considered herself the Lord of the area. She repeatedly clashed with the silver-haired Ivette over several years and believed that her eventual promotion to a genuine Lord would finally let her defeat her rival. 79 80
When she found Dugrabi in Kuks, Abera captured and interrogated him to locate Ivette. Ivette intervened before Abera could kill the dragon, then defeated her using Black Eyes and Pure White Tendrils. Ivette drained nearly all of Abera's Aberration Factors, removing her Mother Nest control in the process and leaving her almost powerless. 80 81 84
Although Ivette initially released her, Abera could not safely return to Kuks. After two days of failing to survive in the wilderness—including being chased by a sheep—she begged Ivette to let her follow. Ivette accepted her provisionally, partly intending to study a high-level Aberration through extended contact and partly because Abera could serve as a capable maid once recovered. 84 89
Abera traveled with Ivette, Bingyu, and Dugrabi, learning to drive and secretly absorbing Ivette's fire-magic lessons. She gradually recovered strength and found Ivette's loose supervision preferable to Mother Nest control, despite privately retaining thoughts of revenge. 90 91
When Ivette prepared to enter a long evolution slumber on Ish Island, Abera chose to return to the island rather than continue traveling with Bingyu. Her Magitech Motorcycle was damaged during the journey, stranding her there for a century. Isolation drove her into loneliness and instability; she unsuccessfully tried to repair the motorcycle and eventually spent much of her time writing explicit revenge fantasies about Ivette. 135 136
After Ivette awakened, she discovered Abera's manuscripts. Abera admitted that she had been stranded rather than voluntarily waiting for the full century, but Ivette allowed her to keep writing so long as Ivette was no longer included in the stories. 137 138
Appearance
Abera normally appears as a tall, human-like woman rather than a visibly monstrous Aberration. Her appearance remains human even after the loss of most of her Aberration Factors. 80 81
- Long ink-black hair and scarlet eyes. 80
- A beautiful face and pale complexion; Ivette considers her evolved form nearly indistinguishable from a human. 80 89
- Initially wore a revealing, cold-looking backless outfit; later adopted Ivette's casual clothing and was compared to a college student. 80 91
- Can manifest more than a dozen black spider-leg spears from her back when sufficiently recovered. 80 91
- During her century of isolation, her hair, robes, and hygiene deteriorated badly before Ivette's awakening. 136
Personality
Abera is proud, status-conscious, and highly concerned with her dignity. As Kuks's Spider Witch, she cultivated an aloof and intimidating manner to conceal her true capabilities and unsettle opponents. Her confidence made her underestimate Ivette and Dugrabi, while her defeat left her desperate to survive. 80 81 136
Her loyalty to Ivette is pragmatic but persistent. She initially followed because returning to the wilderness or Kuks was dangerous, and she continues to entertain ambitions of surpassing or reversing the power dynamic with her master. Yet she values Ivette's freedom from coercive Mother Nest control, actively serves her, and remains beside her even when she could leave. 89 91 135
Abera is jealous of Ivette's formal disciples, especially Lant, because she wants official recognition as a disciple herself. She also has a mischievous and intrusive side, such as reading Copper Skin's private letter and writing extensive erotic fiction centered on Ivette. 93 138 141
Abilities & Skills
Spider-Leg Spears
Abera can manifest black limbs resembling a hybrid of spider legs and metal spears from her back.
- Used them to overpower Dugrabi in close combat and pin him down. 80
- The spears were destroyed by Ivette's Pure White Tendrils during their confrontation. 81
- After recovering to Rank One, she regained the ability to summon at least one spear. 91
Corrosive Black Magic
After her Lord-stage promotion, Abera unlocked black magic with powerful corrosive properties.
- Corrodes Origin Civilization alloy and can damage magic barriers. 81
- Can form black-magic shields and ranged waves. 81
- Failed to stop Ivette's tendrils because their repair speed exceeded the corrosion. 81
- Lost access to this ability when Ivette drained her Aberration Factors. 81
Lord-Class Physical Abilities
At her peak, Abera possessed the strength, recovery, mobility, and skill slots of a fifth-stage Lord.
- Could fly, accelerate, generate shields, and recover quickly from burns. 80 81
- Her post-drain body became so weak that minor impacts hurt and she could not catch ordinary prey. 81 89
- Her stage remained theoretically high, allowing recovery through nutrients and training rather than a complete re-evolution. 82
Fire Magic
Abera learned fire magic by observing Ivette's lessons to Dugrabi and refining it through sparring.
- Her large Mana Core—over 3,000 mana at the time—allowed her to offset a limited spell repertoire through attrition. 91
- Regularly sparred with Dugrabi and could hold her own despite his superior grimoire-based techniques. 91
- Her learned fire magic eventually surpassed her then-current spider-leg spears in practical combat value. 91
Driving and Domestic Work
- Learned to drive Ivette's vehicle during their travels. 91
- Serves as Ivette's maid, including preparing meals and maintaining living arrangements. 89 95
- Assisted with Lant's training by administering Ivette's medicines, sparring with him, and teaching spellcasting techniques. 143 144
Equipment / Items
- Magitech Motorcycle — Used to transport Bingyu and attempt a return to Ish Island; damaged during a clash between the Northern and Southern Abyss Currents. 135 136
- Ivette's clothing — Worn after becoming Ivette's attendant, though initially too small for her taller frame. 91
- Notebooks and manuscripts — Filled with explicit fiction and revenge fantasies written during her century-long isolation. 136 138
Relationships
- Ivette — Former rival and captor; later Abera's master and employer. Abera serves her as a maid, seeks disciple status, and retains a mixture of loyalty, admiration, resentment, and romantic obsession. 81 89 135 141
- Dugrabi — Enemy turned fellow subordinate. Abera defeated and captured him in Kuks, while Dugrabi continues to distrust and mock her; they later spar with fire magic. 80 82 91
- Bingyu — Traveling companion and partner. Abera reassured Bingyu that she would not harm her, then later transported her toward the Emerald Continent on Ivette's orders. 90 135
- Purple Commander — Former superior and commander of Kuks's Pale Mother Nest. His Mother Nest controlled Abera until Ivette devoured its implanted factors. 79 83 84
- Lant Quinn — Ivette's third disciple. Abera initially resented and bullied him out of jealousy, but later assisted his training and came to acknowledge his growth. 141 143 144
Trivia
- Abera calls herself a Divine Offspring rather than an Aberration, though Ivette explains that the term means a high-stage Aberration. 90
- She once believed that becoming a formal disciple would require burning her erotic manuscripts; she refused, considering the loss of fifty years of writing equivalent to losing her life. 141
- Abera's inability to defeat a sheep after Ivette drained her power became the turning point that led her to seek Ivette's protection. 89
