Ian remained unmoved by the Dragon King's wistful sigh.

Terra could not even achieve equality of human rights now, yet it was already dreaming of Star Gods? It was perfectly normal for theory and practical implementation to be a hundred thousand miles apart, but Terra was probably a hundred and eighty thousand observable universes away from becoming a Star God!

Still, the Dragon King's words gave Ian some understanding of what kind of civilization the Star Gods truly were.

They were a pan-universal civilization founded upon a consensus of pure belief, a civilization where every member was a "Pioneer"... Beginning with the "Pioneers" in each civilization, they granted them great power and near-eternal lives, allowing them to continuously educate the rest of the population until every member of the civilization became a Pioneer.

It simply required an exceedingly long time.

And Terra absolutely did not have that time.

The people of Terra no longer even yearned for the distant horizon. If Ian himself had not been a soul from another world, Pioneers would likely never have appeared on this planet again.
