Background / History

Yu Xiaogang taught Tang San theoretical knowledge at Nuoding Academy and supplied his learning materials. When Tang San complained of excessive schoolwork, Yu reduced those tasks and planned to take him to the Star Dou Great Forest for practical combat experience. 9

During Zhao Xiaotian’s brief displacement into another timeline, Yu traveled with Flender and Liu Erlong. The three rescued Zhao from a swarm of Wind Baboons using a Martial Soul fusion skill. Yu was presented as the trio’s theoretical specialist, though his level-29 cultivation left him dependent on Flender for protection in the forest. 16 20 21

Zhao’s presence quickly created friction. Yu resented Zhao’s closeness with Liu Erlong, withheld information about Zhao’s impending departure, and was criticized by Zhao for not participating in the battle against Evil Soul Masters. 18 20 22
