"To free Indigo from the seal, there are two methods. One is to figure out which one is Indigo, then have two Skyfathers join forces to blast him to death. Indigo would then regain his freedom."
Wade said, "But we can't guess wrong. There are five characters, and the death of any one of them will cause the story to restart. That's why, in The Tortoise and the Hare, I didn't kill the rabbit—I only beat it into a Plant Rabbit."
Hearing Wade's words, Alesha couldn't help but complain, "Wow, you're ruthless. You wouldn't even spare a rabbit?"
"Rabbits are so delicious. How could I possibly spare them?"
Wade swallowed and said. Chthon couldn't be bothered with his antics and asked, "Then can't we just kill them one by one? There are only five characters in total. At most, we'd restart four times."
"Of course not."
Wade shook his head. "If the story ends naturally, Indigo's identity won't change. But if we restart it by killing someone, Indigo will reincarnate randomly.
"For example, if you kill Little Red Riding Hood this round, Indigo might reincarnate as Little Red Riding Hood in the next."
"In other words, it's a one-in-five chance every time."
Death was speechless. They complained, "Why did you make things so complicated?"
"Obviously because we don't want anyone to rescue him. What's wrong with that?"
Wade said righteously. Everyone was speechless. On the surface, there really was nothing wrong with it. The problem was that he and Indigo were on the same side, brother.
Alesha asked, "Wade, didn't you say there were two methods? What's the other one?"
"The other method is to make this Eerie Story collapse. Once that happens, Indigo will automatically regain his freedom."
Wade said, "But that's obviously impossible. Even people like us who
