"You're the King of Negativity's father?"
Wind Demon was dumbfounded. He had never expected this turn of events, but it gave him a little more confidence in Chthon. Whatever else he was, he was the King of Negativity's father.
"In a manner of speaking. Still, neither Scar nor I care about that."
Chthon shook his head and said, "As long as you get me close to Scar's true body, I'm confident I can deal with him. Wind Demon, I can't become the King of Negativity. If you help me, you'll be the new King of Negativity."
"I'll be the new King of Negativity?"
Wind Demon was tempted. A Negative Commander who didn't want to become the King of Negativity wasn't a good commander. He said, "Lord Sithorn, getting you close to the King of Negativity won't be easy."
"Without your help, it certainly won't. With you helping me, though, it won't be too difficult. Besides, under the current circumstances, the King of Negativity needs my help with all sorts of things. We'll have plenty of opportunities."
Chthon smiled. "Wind Demon, the real question now is whether you want to become the King of Negativity."
"Of course I do. Lord Sithorn, I'll be frank. As long as there's an opportunity, I'm willing to follow you. But there has to be a genuine opportunity."
Wind Demon clearly wouldn't commit without seeing something concrete. Rather than getting angry, Chthon was pleased. He was quite satisfied with Wind Demon's attitude. For the throne of the King of Negativity, Wind Demon would definitely help him.
Things went smoothly with Wind Demon, but there were a few complications with the female commander. Chthon got straight to the point. "Commander Rita, do you want to become the King of Negativity?"
Indeed, Chthon offered the female commander the
