"You make it sound like we're an old married couple."
Betty grumbled, then said irritably, "Mister King of Abilities, let's put everything else aside for now. You're still at the stage where you're courting me, so please show some sincerity and act like a gentleman.
"In short, trick me into falling for you first, then show me your flaws."
Andrew burst out laughing. That was how relationships usually went. Everything seemed wonderful while people were dating. Only after marriage, when their true natures emerged, did they discover what their partners were really like.
"I've always been open and honest. I never pretend to be someone I'm not."
Andrew declared proudly, "Go make breakfast. Don't waste time."
Betty rolled her eyes at Andrew, then obediently went to make breakfast. They were having simple sandwiches, which she could handle. She was quite talented in this area—the bread was supermarket bread loaded with preservatives.
Ability users probably don't need to worry about preservatives, but this bread isn't fresh and doesn't taste good. I'll have to learn to bake my own bread someday.
As Betty thought this, something else occurred to her, and she inwardly rolled her eyes. She would be working hard to learn how to bake, but Andrew would be the one enjoying the results. That was a little depressing.
It's only a month. Uh... there's only a month.
At first, Betty tried to comfort herself, but then, for some reason, her spirits sank. If she didn't start a relationship with Andrew, things between them would probably end just like that in a month.
As a reincarnator and a powerful ability user, the King of Abilities had a mission to complete. He couldn't stay with her forever. If they became a couple, they would always have chances to see each other again,
