After becoming King of Negativity's confidante, Zatanna learned a great deal of intelligence, including information about Andrew. She was very pleased, because her choice had not been wrong.
However, Zatanna did not contact Andrew immediately, because she wanted to remain undercover and play a greater role. Then, she would use her merits to make Andrew "reward" her.
Zatanna had yet to meet Andrew, so she was still somewhat uneasy about whether she could win him over. That was why she wanted to earn credit. If she had met Andrew, she would have known there was no need to think so much.
Andrew from the DC Universe and Andrew now were, in a sense, practically two different species.
"King of Negativity is about to seek out The Intermediary. I have two purposes in doing this. One is to continue driving a wedge between him and Chthon."
Zatanna thought to herself, "Chthon definitely wants to monopolize The Intermediary's intelligence resources. Once he discovers that King of Negativity has gone to The Intermediary, he will be furious. When he learns why King of Negativity sought out The Intermediary, he will be even angrier, perhaps even lose control.
Why? Simple. If King of Negativity succeeds, Chthon will never be able to obtain the Compound V Big Tree. He may even have to submit to King of Negativity. That is something he cannot tolerate.
The Compound V Big Tree was planted by Chthon. It is practically his son. What father could tolerate his son standing above him?
Under those circumstances, he will go to extremes and target King of Negativity at all costs, even if it harms the bigger picture. When that happens, there will be quite a show."
Could Chthon discover that King of Negativity had contacted The Intermediary? Of course he could. There
