Ye Xian is a collateral descendant of the Ye Clan of Thousand Isles, a swordsmith lineage descended from Central Earth's true essence and associated with the inheritances of Gan Jiang and Mo Xie. She rejected the clan's seniority hierarchy, infighting, and incomplete inheritance practices, leaving home rather than remain bound to the family’s internal divisions. She regards the Nine Forms as a tool rather than an end in itself, believing the Ye Clan’s legacy should be adapted rather than worshipped. 284 434

As an Artisan, Ye Xian is a perfectionist whose obsession is optimization.
