Personality

Wei Banmeng is direct, efficient, and intensely devoted to martial arts. When she first approaches Fang Qingyu, she dispenses with pleasantries and simply asks him to spar; her interest is driven by pure fighting spirit rather than hostility. 153

Background / History

Arrival in Qingjian and the Insect Tide

Wei Banmeng arrived in Qingjian City as an elite martial practitioner from Shangjing, initially drawing concern from Wu Yu because of the pressure associated with her name and background. 137 During the Abyss Weaver operation, Fang Qingyu and Jiang Wei encountered her fighting three King Insect Guards in the core nest. The three formed an immediate battlefield alliance, and Wei Banmeng formally introduced herself after the guards were defeated. 147

Following the battle, she challenged Fang Qingyu to a spar. She made clear that, although she came from Shangjing, she was not connected to the earlier martial hall challengers he had killed. Their spar ended with an agreement: Wei Banmeng would provide Fang Qingyu with the names of the martial halls targeting him. 153 154 157

Songdu Pit Incident

Wei Banmeng joined Fang Qingyu’s team for the Songdu pit reconnaissance mission. 161 She fought alongside Fang Qingyu and Jiang Wei against modified martial practitioners and narrowly escaped the sudden emergence of the Peak Tier 1 Peng Snake. 165

When Sikong Zhen’s betrayal trapped Su Wanqing and other Second Order experts underground, Wei Banmeng broke out of the pit alone to deliver the warning. Her report identified Sikong Zhen as the earth-element Chosen of God manipulating the terrain, severing communications, and enabling Genesis Technology’s trap. 172 176 Her role in the incident later helped establish the truth behind the betrayal. 177

Dragon Abyss Pavilion and the Hidden Dragon Program

Wei Banmeng is a direct disciple of Dragon Abyss Pavilion’s master, Yan Shouzheng. 169 When Fang Qingyu entered the Hidden Dragon Program, she brought him and Jiang Wei into Dragon Abyss Pavilion’s Blessed Land, deliberately giving Fang Qingyu a protected place to stay among participants backed by major martial halls. 183 184

Yan Shouzheng arranged for Fang Qingyu to assist Wei Banmeng in locating a Darkness Source Quality Tide for her twin blades, while she and her fellow disciples would help Fang Qingyu seek a Lightning Source Quality Tide for the Dragon Sparrow Slayer of Calamity. 185 Wei Banmeng later led Fang Qingyu and Jiang Wei to Dragon Abyss Pavilion’s hidden Life Spirit training area, granting Fang Qingyu access to an enormous hunting ground. 187

Arctic Frontline and City of Injustice

Wei Banmeng accompanied Fang Qingyu’s group to the Arctic Frontline and helped choose Glaze Light City as their destination. 249 During the Glaze Light City crisis, she escorted rescued captives from a Life Spirit nest and gathered testimony revealing that black-robed Third Order figures had orchestrated organized kidnappings of Federation martial practitioners. 284

Dawn Legion
