"My second vow is that if I attain Supreme Bodhi, and there are any beings in my country who fall into Evil Paths, I will not attain Supreme Enlightenment."
"My forty-eighth vow is that if I attain Supreme Bodhi, Bodhisattvas of Other Realms who hears my name immediately attains First, Second, and Third Patience, Immovable in All Dharmas, then I will not attain Supreme Enlightenment."
Before Zhunti Daoist Zhunti, the Daoist Jieyin made Forty-Eight Great Vows in succession, voluntarily promising to the Heavenly Dao the cause of karmic retribution and taking on the cause of Sage.
From then on, until the forty-eight vows are fulfilled, the Daoist Jieyin will always be bound by the Heavenly Dao Way, unable to leave the Pure Land, and unable to slacken for even a day.
Looking at Daoist Zhunti brother Jieyin, whose face Jieyin with sorrow and compassion, Zhunti Daoist sighed and said, "Brother, why must you be like this?"
"Junior brother, you must greatly promote the Western Sect in the future, and there must be no failure."
"Let Senior Brother bear the responsibility for achieving sainthood."
"It's better to bear the consequences alone than to share them with someone else."
"In everything, someone has to make choices. There are gains and losses, and the cycle of yin and yang continues endlessly."

After merging with the Dao, Hongjun Daozu became the Heavenly Dao, and the Heavenly Dao became Hongjun Daozu.
