Taiyi remained focused on cultivation while the Witch-Demon conflict, the rise of the Human Emperors, and the Investiture of the Gods reshaped the Primordial World. He eventually protected Di Xin and the Shang Dynasty, and prepared an upgraded weapon capable of killing Heavenly Dao Sages.

  • Taiyi fought the Six Sages, killed Yuanshi Tianzun, Zhunti, and Jieyin, and drove Taishang Laozi, Tongtian Jiaozhu, and Goddess Nüwa to self-destruction.

Arc 5The Sages’ Fall and Cataclysm’s Dawn

Taiyi stayed hidden until his incarnation intervened to protect the Human Race, then fought the Heavenly Dao’s Sages and killed or drove them to self-destruction. As the Witch and Demon conflict began, Taiyi continued cultivating and gained a new understanding of fate, which could not explain his altered life.

  • Taiyi chose to protect the Human Race through an incarnation, warned Kunpeng Ancestor and Nether River Ancestor against slaughtering humans, and faced the Six Sages in the chaos.
  • Taiyi fought the Six Sages, killed Yuanshi Tianzun with the Godslaying Spear, then broke through during the battle and killed Zhunti and Jieyin.
  • Taishang Laozi, Tongtian Jiaozhu, and Goddess Nüwa self-destructed rather than continue fighting Taiyi, and his incarnation returned to merge with his true body.

Arc 6The Human Emperors

Taiyi completed the Law of Fate, watched the Witch-Demon war shatter the Primordial World, and remained apart as the Sages repaired it and established the Heavenly Court. As Fuxi and Shennong rose as Human Emperors, Taiyi pursued new laws and intervened to save Nüwa, ending with the ninth Jade Creation Shard fused into his pendant.

  • Taiyi completed the Law of Fate, while the Witch-Demon war ended with the Ancestral Witches destroying Buzhou Mountain and destabilizing the Primordial World.
  • The Six Sages repaired the heavens and earth, and Nüwa sealed the sky with Five-Colored Divine Stones while the Sages used the North Sea Black Tortoise’s limbs to support heaven.
  • Hongjun appointed Haotian and Jade Pool as rulers of the Heavenly Court, while Taiyi stayed in seclusion and studied the Source of the Innate Eight Trigrams.

As the Investiture of the Gods took shape and the Shang realm neared King Zhou’s fateful sacrifice, Taiyi continued refining new laws and declined to intervene in worldly affairs.

  • Taiyi chose not to intervene in the Zhuolu conflict, then watched the Yellow Emperor defeat Chiyou and Xingtian attack the Heavenly Court before Lady Pingxin saved him.
  • Cangjie created writing for the Human Race, endured tribulation sent by Hongjun, and rose through human faith before choosing reincarnation to spread the Way of Culture.
  • Taiyi continued cultivating as Zhuanxu, Emperor Ku, Yao, Shun, and Da Yu ruled, while Da Yu controlled the floods and established the foundation of the Xia Dynasty.
  • The Xia Dynasty became hereditary under Xia Qi, then Shang Tang overthrew Xia Jie and founded the Shang Dynasty.
