Background / History

Tony was kidnapped by terrorists who demanded that he manufacture weapons. Imprisoned alongside Ethan, he sought help through the chat group; Izayoi Sakamaki accepted the rescue task and freed them. Tony refused an escort out, believing he and Ethan could escape on their own before the authorities arrived. 4 5

After his rescue, Tony concluded that someone close to him had betrayed his whereabouts. The limited suspects included Jakos, Pepper, and his uncle; the terrorists' possession of Stark Industries weapons reinforced his suspicions. 6
