Kaguya-sama Wants Me to Surrender

Amamiya Natsuki and the others left the abandoned cottage and followed the coastline. They soon arrived at Eagle Beak Mountain. A sign stood at the foot of the mountain, reading, "Private property. No trespassing." Of course, that was all it said; the path hadn't been blocked off with a wire fence, so they could enter easily.

"I see it." Kitagawa Marin rose onto her toes and lifted a hand to her forehead. "That must be the abandoned hospital."

Amamiya Natsuki nodded.

"That's right. That's the place."

The group followed the mountain path to the halfway point, then stood by the railing and looked down. The sea and sky stretched out magnificently beneath them, with endless blue waves. Coconut and banana trees lined the edge of the beach, and seabirds wheeled overhead. The summer scenery of the tropics lifted their spirits.

"It's so beautiful," Fujiwara Chika said softly. "This is the first instance mission with scenery this nice."

"Seriously. All the previous ones were gloomy and creepy, with scary atmospheres." Kitagawa Marin put her right hand on her hip. "I want to go swimming."

Smack!

A sharp slap rang out.

"Ah...!"

Kitagawa Marin cried out and hurriedly turned around. "Natsuki, why'd you hit me?"

"You two, that's enough," Amamiya Natsuki said dryly. "This is an instance mission. Save the vacation plans for after we're done. Stay alert for now."

The Succubus Girl puffed out her cheeks, displeased.

"Then why did you only hit me and not Chika-chan?"

Amamiya Natsuki shifted his gaze to Secretary Chika.

"The weather's nice today... See you!"

Secretary Chika turned and ran.

Before the others arrived, they had already messaged Kaguya and the rest. So when they reached the entrance to the abandoned hospital, they found three girls waiting there: Kaguya, Yukino, and Hayasaka.

"Kaguya-chan, we're here!"
