The hotel room had been fairly spacious, but it quickly grew crowded as so many people filed in. Midnight was fast approaching, though, and the Nightmare Theater would soon open, so no one seemed to mind.

Amamiya Natsuki glanced at the time on his phone, then said:

"I'm going to buy a few things."

He opened the door, left the room, walked down the hallway, and stopped outside another room. He raised a hand and knocked.

Knock, knock.

The door quickly opened a crack, revealing half of Spy Maid's pretty face.

"Hello, President." Hayasaka Ai's expression was blank as she started to close the door. "Goodbye, President."

Amamiya Natsuki braced a hand against it, stopping it from closing.

"Stare—"

Hayasaka looked over at him, still expressionless. "Is there something else you need, President?"

Amamiya Natsuki said:

"Open the door and let me in. I'll explain once I'm inside."

Hayasaka refused to open it.

"No need to come in. Whatever you want to say, you can say it in the hallway."

Amamiya Natsuki lowered his voice.

"Talking in the hallway would disturb the others."

Hayasaka gave him a disdainful look.

"Then don't say anything."

Amamiya Natsuki: "..."

Sometimes, girls said the opposite of what they meant. Hayasaka was undoubtedly doing that now.

If he actually listened and turned to leave, she'd only get angrier!

So Amamiya Natsuki simply pushed harder, forced the door open, and squeezed into the room.

Thud.

He closed the door behind him and looked down at Maid-chan.

"Seems like you've misunderstood me, Ai. Guess we'd better have a good talk."

"Hello, officer?" Hayasaka took half a step back, raised her right hand to her ear, and put on a stern expression. "Someone's broken into my room. Please come and take him in for a cup of tea."
