Background & History

Gao Linzhi entered the Skyfall Game through a customized game character while concealing his real body. His first encounter with Liang Clan cavalry taught him that being identified in-game could expose his real-world location, prompting him to exit before capture. He soon discovered that real-world gold could be converted into in-game currency and used the resulting advantages to obtain equipment, Noble Privilege, Absolute Dodge, and the Corpse Vine pet. 3 4 5

His early survival relied on caution, wilderness preparation, and rapidly acquired skills. After Chen Xing and Wang Cong attempted to extort him, Gao lured them into a Corpse Vine ambush and killed them, then remained in the mountains to avoid pursuit. Under the Fourth Elder and Zheng Dong, he learned foundational martial skills, obtained experience-farming opportunities, and began systematically maximizing any skill that could raise his attributes. 15 17 19 31 34

Gao deliberately maintained a low character level while using wealth, Skill Stones, Talent Stones, and purchased skill slots to accumulate unusually high Constitution and Spirit. This strategy required an extensive supply network, which pushed him from lone survivor to organizer. After becoming Great Elder, he established influence over the Four Village Trading Company, protected trade, directed puppet guards, and oversaw a more prosperous and orderly village system. 48 59 94 104 131

Following his escape from Ouyang Jing's high-tower laboratory, Gao seized its equipment and ordered Xu Gou to construct an underground laboratory with a moral boundary. He later entered the Daoist Academy, traded immense supplies for access to advanced knowledge, and began pursuing genuine longevity techniques under the Headmaster's instruction. 147 148 218 221 246

After discovering that his non-digitized main body could independently cultivate, Gao shifted focus toward mastering Skyfall World's advanced techniques without relying entirely on the Game System. He eventually gained control of Origin Energy and used it to shape the later game world of God's Domain, where he covertly observes and assists selected players such as Zhang Mingzhen. 304 309 334 419

Appearance

Gao Linzhi's game avatar has no fixed public presentation: he frequently uses disguise arts, stealth, substitute bodies, and alternate accounts. His primary game face was personally customized, and spectators describe it as exceptionally handsome. 3 161 189 233

  • Appears in white robes while confronting the Imperial Court at sea, walking through the air with visible pressure rings beneath his feet. 298
  • Uses disguise materials, Bone Shrinking Skill, and Dehydration Skill to alter skin color, facial spacing, height, and weight. 30
  • Maintains separate identities through alternate accounts, including Full Health Plays Erhu. 161

Personality

Gao is intensely cautious and distrustful, particularly where his main body, identity, and long-term freedom are concerned. He relies on game characters, substitute bodies, hidden locations, pets, and resurrection mechanisms rather than accepting avoidable risk. He assumes that allies, corporations, families, and organizations will eventually act according to their own interests. 67 117 147 224

He is ruthless toward betrayal and coercion. Gao converts traitors and hostile enemies into puppets when they remain useful, viewing execution as wasteful when a defeated opponent can still create value. At the same time, he states that he will not kill innocents and repeatedly insists that participants in dangerous projects must act voluntarily. 59 135 139 130 131

His central ambition is longevity, freedom, and the continued development of human creativity. Gao rejects systems that reduce people to obedient tools, believing that independent thought, experimentation, and broad participation are necessary to discover a true path to immortality. 125 131 133

Abilities & Skills

Game System Exploitation

Gao's defining advantage is his ability to turn real-world resources into in-game growth and to exploit the Game System's rules more efficiently than ordinary players.

  • Converts real-world gold into in-game gold for top-ups and purchases. 5
  • Uses level-locking to keep experience costs low while accumulating skills, attributes, Talent Stones, and Skill Stones. 48 131
  • Purchases additional skill slots and learns broad physical and magical skill sets rather than specializing early. 112
  • Uses Noble Privilege, including a wide minimap that can track pet locations. 5 67

Skill Mastery and Attribute Stacking

Gao has learned most general-purpose market skills, with many advanced skills and several Expert-level techniques.

  • His known collection includes dozens of physical and magic skills, ranging from Lightness, Parry, and Defense to elemental magic, Curse Techniques, and Divination. 112 120
  • He prioritizes permanently increasing Constitution and Spirit through fully leveling skills. 35 105 158
  • His skill selection was initially unfocused, but the sheer number of maxed skills gives him extreme baseline attributes. 112
  • Noble 25's proxy privilege can temporarily make his combat movements and spellcasting operate with highly advanced tactical precision. 193

Combat and Resurrection

Gao combines overwhelming physical attributes with mobility, elemental attacks, talismans, and repeated resurrection.

  • At Constitution 795, his bare-handed movements create sonic booms and his physical strength is sufficient to overwhelm village formations. 119 120
  • At double-2,000 Constitution and Spirit, he can fight at a level comparable to a martial grandmaster. 246 298
  • Uses elemental spells, air cannons, Curse Techniques, Jade Talismans, and direct physical force in combat. 119 238 274
  • Exploits Revival Stones and the Dice of Fairness to outlast opponents whose raw skill or speed exceeds his own. 227 238
  • His resurrection tactics apply to his game-character state; preserving his real main body remains his overriding priority. 147 148

Stealth, Disguise, and Substitute Bodies

Gao specializes in concealing his identity and avoiding direct threats to his main body.

  • Uses Disguise Art alongside Bone Shrinking and Dehydration techniques for comprehensive physical alteration. 30
  • Maintains Basic through Advanced Camouflage and related stealth skills. 117
  • Tian Qing's instruction advances his Stealth skill to Expert Level. 190
  • Uses substitute puppets and alternate characters to gather intelligence, travel, fight, and absorb risk. 117 161 189

Talents

Absolute Dodge

A Purple Talent obtained through top-up rewards.

  • Activates alongside Basic Dodge to evade sudden attacks. 5 74
  • Helped Gao avoid Yang Qingfeng's ambush despite the attack coming from behind. 74

Blood Siphon

A Gold Quality Talent absorbed after a prolonged and painful nine-day process.

  • Greatly improves sustained combat potential by allowing its user to grow stronger through battle. 167
  • Its acquisition required a rare Gold Quality Talent Stone and extensive preparations to remove restrictions safely. 166 167

Puppetry and Controlled Assets

Gao uses Puppet Talismans and captured enemies as a workforce, intelligence network, and enforcement force.

  • Converts hostile people into puppets rather than killing them when they can perform useful labor. 135 139
  • Uses puppet guards to resolve disputes and maintain order within his territory. 104
  • Purple-tier Puppet Talismans cannot control sufficiently powerful targets, as demonstrated by Dragon Fruit. 90
  • Directed puppets to prospect for gold, punish betrayal, and target hostile corporate leadership. 94 135

Appraisal, Divination, and Perception

Gao gathers information through direct inspection rather than trusting appearances.

  • Uses Person Appraisal Technique to identify a target's attributes, talent, personality, and weaknesses. 132 133
  • Combines Divination-type skills with his increased Spirit attribute to broaden his intelligence-gathering options. 120
  • Resists Master-level illusions and Spirit damage. 163
  • Uses pet-linked minimap tracking and enhanced senses to locate hidden enemies and monitor threats. 67 135

Longevity Cultivation and Origin Energy

Gao's long-term objective is to make his own main body independent of the Game System.

  • Learns the Petrification Method's first stage, Heart Transforms into Stone, to stabilize emotions for longevity. 246
  • Begins studying advanced cultivation techniques such as the Indestructible Diamond Technique through genuine understanding rather than automated skill acquisition. 309
  • Communicates with and controls a sapphire Origin Energy that can create and transform objects within its cooldown and range limits. 334
