Background / History

Kong Nian awakened from a Sealed Crystal after Lu Shuan's Primordial Heavenly Eye absorbed the crystal's power. She immediately identified Immortal Lord Kong as her father. 255

She was conceived after both parents were sealed: her mother used her soul to conceive her, then sent Kong Nian away before her own soul dissipated. Immortal Lord Kong did not know she existed and mistook her for her mother. During Kong Nian's long sealed existence, her mother taught her through inherited memories. 256

Her mother's memories informed her that the Immortals and Gods had abandoned the mortal world. Kong Nian also revealed that the Luo Fu Underground Palace had been her mother's palace and that the Karma Mirror, an artifact able to examine the past and foresee the future, was hidden there. She ultimately agreed to guide Yi Xiaofeng's group to it. 256

Although she initially claimed she would only hide from Immortal Lord Kong, she later helped track his aura. She made clear that she would flee if discovered and could not promise to save the group from him. 256 274

After Yi Xiaofeng's group left the Secret Realm, Kong Nian joined the World Under Heaven Swordsman on the condition that Yi Xiaofeng teach her Sword Control Technique. 268

Immortal Lord Kong later questioned her identity directly, while warning Yi Xiaofeng that her plans and identity were more complicated than they appeared. Kong Nian implied to Yi Xiaofeng that she was a True God. 309
