Background / History

Immortal Lord Kong was once the Human Race's Number One Under Heaven. During an ancient demonic era, he fought to protect humanity and slaughtered demons with the vow to exterminate them all. His campaign brought him into conflict with the Immortals and Gods after he learned that the demons originated from their pets. 220

When the Immortals and Gods forbade him from killing immortal demons, Kong rejected their distinction between humans and demons and killed the Demon Ancestor before them. The Immortals and Gods suppressed him, erased all traces of his existence, and removed him from the memories of later generations. 220

Kong believed that the Human Race he had defended ultimately betrayed him: before his sealing, humans besieged him to gain the Immortals and Gods' protection. This betrayal became the foundation of his hatred for humanity and the divine powers alike. 235

His soul endured because it was bound to the soul of a woman descended from Immortals, who used her own life to protect him. The connection limited his actions after resurrection, while his search for a body unbound by the Heavenly Dao led him to seek extraterrestrials. 249

He kills the Demonic Altar Honored Lord's body, overwhelms the assembled cultivators, and threatens a city by lifting it into the air. Yi Xiaofeng injures him with the Overlord Bow, then temporarily earns leniency by affirming his forgotten deeds. 235 236

Within Yi Xiaofeng's consciousness, Kong reveals that he considered the anomalies behind the players to be the mortal world's true catastrophe. After learning information concerning his daughter, he abandons his possession attempt and gives Yi his inheritance. 281

Kong later appears near a passage to the Netherworld, warning Yi Xiaofeng not to enter. He reveals that Bai Hongxiao secured him a chance at reincarnation, then departs to begin that process. 309
