Background / History

Nüwa awakened in a realm whose laws differed radically from those of the Primordial Era. With spiritual energy nearly absent and her divine sense heavily suppressed, she followed the faint trace of Tongtian's sword intent to Lin Fan's world. She explains that the Primordial Era was no longer a paradise and that she and Tongtian had fled there after a catastrophe. 6

Upon meeting Lin Fan, she thanks him as a descendant of the Human Race for sheltering Tongtian. She chooses to remain in his cramped apartment, where she adapts to modern life while Lin Fan handles the household's practical needs. 6 7 11

Her presence soon attracts attention. An old Daoist recognizes that her aura contains compassion and creation, calls her presence unacceptable to the Heavenly Dao, and implies a connection to surviving Primordial-era inheritances. Nüwa drives him away with a restrained release of Sage authority, then urges caution rather than certainty about his claims. 11 12

She later identifies herself to Chen Jing's team as an otherworldly refugee with no intention of disrupting local order.
