"What? It's a Large Civilization this time?"

"So all that stuff we saw before was just a Small Civilization!"

"Even a Small Civilization had things like God of Parkour and the Colossal Giant. What could a Large Civilization be like?"

"The difficulty's been clearly marked as much higher. You can imagine how hard this will be!"

"Isn't this a guaranteed death sentence?"

Hearing that it was a Large Civilization, the people of Kyushu erupted.

Zombies, Creepers, and Skeletons were already more than enough trouble. Would this Large Civilization bring out other monsters too?

Fries furrowed his brow, his face grim.

"How could it be a Large Civilization? Has even heaven given up on us and decided we should perish?"

They had barely managed to overcome the Giant Civilization and the Parkour Civilization. Now the difficulty had doubled.

He'd originally thought they had a sixty percent chance of clearing it. Now Fries gave them only thirty percent!

And that was assuming they got extremely lucky.

No matter what Fries thought, the arena's voice continued.

Both the players and their numbers were selected at random. One name after another appeared.

Fries let out a long breath, as if he'd accepted his fate.

"Dean Qi, I'm going!"

He had already used the item card. He was the only one in Kyushu who could shoulder this responsibility.

He closed his eyes and waited quietly. A minute later,

he opened them again, only to find himself still where he was. Nothing had changed.

"Fries, it looks like you weren't selected this time."

Dean Qi spoke, his expression puzzled.

Looking up, Fries saw that the list had indeed been announced.

He turned to look outside, but it was too late.

A flash of white light appeared. The selected players had already been transported into the Block Civilization.

"Great!"

Arriving in a blank space, Gu Yu smiled.

He'd been a little nervous before the list was finalized, but fortunately, Fries's item had worked.

He'd successfully been selected for the game.

The Block Civilization was the place Gu Yu was about to enter.

As in the other civilizations, players needed at least a Medium Block to have a chance of leaving.

The difference was that, since this was a Large Civilization, there was no way to pass the time until they could leave.

After the rules were explained, several different locations appeared before Gu Yu.

One small island after another appeared. The players had to choose from dozens of locations.

After glancing over them, Gu Yu saw that they were mostly similar. Each island had just one or two kinds of resources, or perhaps two or three.

When the islands appeared on the screens, the audience outside gasped.

"What a brutal starting situation?!"

"Holy crap, that little island is all stone. Wouldn't going there be a death sentence?"

"There isn't even any food. I can't imagine how anyone could survive!"

"Even worse, they can't just sit around and wait to get a chance to leave this time!"

"My god, so this is how hard a Large Civilization is!"

"Can the great Fries make it back alive... wait, Gu Yu?"

"The great Fries used an item. Who's this guy?"

Compared with the standard village starts in the previous civilizations, this one was already unimaginably difficult.

But when the audience looked up, they were surprised to see that Fries wasn't the contestant.

Could someone understand the game better than Fries?
