Fuxi sucked in a breath and nearly coughed up a lung. His face was full of shock. This was, after all, the foremost of the Four Sovereigns, the exalted Lord of the North Pole—and he had just tossed the title away so easily?
Qi WuHuo looked at Great Emperor Ziwei of the North Pole, puzzled. "Why?"
"The exalted position means nothing to me."
"If I want to obtain such a position, I can naturally do it myself."

Great Emperor Ziwei of the Central North Pole gazed at the Myriad Phenomena of Stars above the celestial palace, and at the vast human world beneath the light of the constellations. His expression grew peaceful. The experiences of those several kalpas seemed to sweep past his eyes like flowing water, then at last settled into serenity.
A faint smile appeared at the corner of his mouth. Like a sword, its sturdy blade stained with blood, finally shedding some of its gore to reveal a touch of warmth, he said, "I have returned."
"When will you be holding your wedding?"
