Background
Lu Changsheng arrived at Three Immortal Island intending to confess to Bixiao, but mistakenly confessed to Yunxiao instead. When Yunxiao's reaction aggravated his already severe breakthrough injuries, he exploited her guilt and secured her agreement to become his Dao Companion. 4
Initially an unremarkable Jie Sect outer disciple, he relied on the System, System Space, cultivation resources, and increasingly dangerous opportunities to accelerate his growth. His early rise was marked by stealing the Xuanling Fruit from Huanglong Zhenren's plans, defeating the Yin Yang Twin Flood Dragons, and repeatedly humiliating Huanglong in battle. 10 26 27
His defeat of Dingguang Xian earned Tongtian's attention. After winning a quota-arena battle against Wuyunxian at Golden Immortal Peak, Lu Changsheng was named Tongtian's fifth personal disciple and received the Green Lotus Cushion and Heart Piercing Lock. 41 56 61
Appearance
Lu Changsheng is a human cultivator typically seen in white daoist robes. His body and eyes manifest obvious thunderly traits when he employs his body-tempering arts. 26 322
- His eyes can transform into lightning pupils. 39
- Lightning patterns emerge across his skin when activating his thunder body. 162
- He has been described as slightly gaunt following difficult battles. 26
Personality
Lu Changsheng is calculating, opportunistic, and exceptionally pragmatic. He judges challenges by their value rather than pride; when Huanglong Zhenren demanded a duel, Lu refused until Yuanshi offered a reward worth accepting. 159 160
He is also openly provocative toward enemies, especially Chan Sect cultivators. He repeatedly exploits opponents' arrogance, taunts them into mistakes, and is willing to seize their treasures after defeating them. 73 89 303
His ruthlessness is balanced by fierce protectiveness toward Yunxiao and the Jie Sect. Yunxiao's injury at Zhunti's hands provoked him into confronting a Saint, while threats to the Sanxiao repeatedly pushed him to gamble his own safety and treasures. 254 297 298
