Zhang Chongxian is the Old Ancestor of the Zhang Family and an influential Golden Core sword cultivator. His standing and strength allow him to confront other major forces directly, including the Cloud Mountain Sword Sect, whose ancestor Lin Feng had a history of being pressured by him. 13

When Zhang Xuanchen went missing after the Secret Realm incident, Zhang Chongxian returned with the survivors and personally joined Lin Wanqing and Zhang Xuanbing in a concealed search operation. The family considered his leadership vital to reducing casualties during the search. 67
