History

Following the conflicts involving the Old Heavenly Court and the Ancient Dragon Clan, White Jade Capital came to rule the cultivation world. The four Ancient Gods were unable to destroy the Ancient Dragon King’s protected secret scroll, so they stationed evil beasts—the Four Evils—to guard it in the Eastern Wasteland Ruins 166.

Its Sì Mìng later planned to reshape the lower realm’s cultivation system. Da Nuo proposed replacing the traditional progression through Mahayana and True Immortal with a Blood Cultivator hierarchy culminating in Ascension, allowing cultivators to reach White Jade Capital as early as the Void Refining Stage and making them easier to control 238.

Moonlight and Jie Mie eventually discovered that ascension was a trap and warned unascended Mahayana cultivators.
