Background

Moon Princess is an Outer God who traverses countless realms and governs dreams. Unlike the Four Ancient Gods, she is an outsider to the cultivation world; she seeks to monopolize it by eliminating the Four Gods and replacing their order with her own. 246 250 258

Tens of thousands of years earlier, she intervened when Moonlight and other cultivators were overwhelmed by White Jade Capital. Moon Princess killed Moonlight’s pursuers, then offered her revenge, the revival of her companions, and the position of Sì Mìng in exchange for abandoning her humanity and serving as Moon Princess’s agent. 240 241

Moon Princess later used her dream realm to imprison and wear down Shi Yue over hundreds of thousands of years. Although Shi Yue held the title of Sì Mìng, Moon Princess withheld her true Eternal Moon Dao Patterns and treated both Shi Yue and Moonlight as expendable bait for Li Yan. 249 252 255

Personality

Moon Princess initially presents herself as aloof, theatrical, and contemptuous of cultivators, calling Li Yan an “ant” while attempting to manipulate him into becoming her instrument against the Four Gods. She is highly cautious, however, and immediately distrusted Li Yan’s apparent willingness to serve her. 250 251

Her actions are driven by ambition and self-preservation. She abandoned Shi Yue once Li Yan became more valuable, fought the Bloodline Emperor Lord because surrender would not save her, and summoned Yin Po when faced with being devoured. 252 259 268
