Gag, gag, gag~
The Great Wolfdog kept retching, nearly choking itself.
Its gaze followed the source of the stench, and it saw a Gloom poking its head out, secretly watching it.
Clearly, the foul stench was coming from that Gloom.
On the roof of a house, Aiven and Sutter were watching the Great Wolfdogs in the distant Fruit Grove.
"Sure enough, the stench is devastating to Great Wolfdogs."
"If Gloom had been defending the village back then, the Great Wolfdogs probably would've run off with their tails between their legs without Gloom even needing to do anything."
Sutter looked at the Great Wolfdog below, which was on the verge of passing out, and gave Aiven a thumbs-up.
"You're pretty impressive yourself, adapting to Gloom's stench so quickly," Aiven replied with a smile.
Then he jumped straight off the roof. It was time to save the Great Wolfdog, or it really might pass out.
Although the Great Wolfdog felt sick to its stomach, it remained vigilant. When it saw Aiven approaching, it forced itself to withstand the stench and took up a fighting stance.
Then it saw the human before it ask the Mukkuru perched on his shoulder to stir up a gust of wind, blowing the stench away.
The moment the stench dispersed, the Great Wolfdog felt alive again. It gulped down the fresh air, rediscovering the beauty of the world.
Only then did it have time to study the human before it. It recognized him at a glance: he was the same human who had commanded the Walking Grass back then.
Faced with the approaching enemy, the Great Wolfdog leader lowered its body slightly. It had to protect its companions!
