Sealing Jutsu

"Teacher Minato, I can't describe this feeling either, nor can I be sure that what I'm saying is correct."

"Ever since I was young, I felt that I refined chakra very quickly. When I was little, I discovered that I had far more chakra than my peers. To avoid drawing attention, I rarely refined chakra and only replenished what I used."

"Up until now, that was enough. But during this Land of Artisans mission, I saw even stronger ninja fighting each other, and I no longer felt so confident in my own strength. So I want to increase my chakra reserves. I can't keep avoiding chakra refinement."

Minato Namikaze and Kushina exchanged glances again, the surprise on their faces slow to fade.

"So, you want your Master's Wife to place a Sealing Jutsu on you, blocking the Main Family's observation so they won't discover your unusually vast chakra reserves?"

Neither Minato Namikaze nor Kushina was foolish. Both could imagine the impact it would have on the Main Family if word spread that Hyuga Kazuya had undergone Bloodline Reversion.

"Yes, that's right, Teacher Minato."

"Is that possible?" Hyuga Kazuya looked at them with wide eyes, his gaze full of pleading.

Minato Namikaze turned to Kushina as well. Although Kushina had taught most of her Sealing Jutsu to Minato Namikaze, Kushina, who had been exposed to Sealing Jutsu since childhood, naturally far surpassed him in mastery of it.

Kushina frowned and thought for a moment.

"It's possible. The Uzumaki Clan has records of such a Sealing Jutsu. It was developed during the Warring States Period specifically as a precaution against the Hyuga Clan."

"Thank you so much, Master's Wife." Hyuga Kazuya beamed, not caring why it had been specifically designed against the Hyuga Clan. "Can you place it on me now?"

"You want it placed right now?"

"Yes, Master's Wife Kushina."

"Alright, then. Come with me."

As she spoke, Kushina led Hyuga Kazuya into a lounge.

"Lie down over there and take off your shirt."

Hyuga Kazuya did as instructed, removing his shirt and lying down on the cold wooden board. He closed his eyes and waited.

Kushina stepped to Hyuga Kazuya's side, recalling that Sealing Jutsu as she stretched out both hands.

Chakra began to flow rapidly. An invisible formation slowly emerged, layer upon layer of phantom images appearing in the air.

Lines upon lines of patterns formed a complex formation.

"Isolation Seal!"

The formation rapidly contracted, gathering within Kushina's five fingers.

Kushina immediately pressed her hand down onto Hyuga Kazuya's lower abdomen.

"Seal!"

Kushina's chakra flowed swiftly through Hyuga Kazuya's body. Complex patterns spread across his entire body like snakes, then slowly faded away as though they had never existed.

Yet a sealing formation remained on his lower abdomen, marking the traces left behind by the Sealing Jutsu.

"Is it done, Master's Wife?"

Seeing that Kushina had stopped moving, Hyuga Kazuya opened his eyes and asked.

"Mm, looks like it's done." Kushina rubbed her chin, her tone carrying a hint of uncertainty.

"What?"

Hyuga Kazuya was nearly scared to death by those words. What did "looks like it's done" mean?

So you didn't know either?

Kushina waved a hand dismissively.

"It's just an Isolation Seal. What could possibly go wrong? Don't you trust the skills of Konoha's foremost sealing master?"

"Really?"

Though Hyuga Kazuya did not quite believe her, he was an outsider in this field. Whatever an expert said, he had to listen.

"Are there any precautions for this Sealing Jutsu?"

Minato Namikaze, who had watched the entire process from the side, was the first to ask.

"There are some. You can't use a large amount of chakra, or the chakra will break through the seal."

"That would be very inconvenient in battle. You'll probably need to come often to reinforce the seal. Can this Sealing Jutsu be taught to Kazuya?"

Kushina thought for a moment, then looked Hyuga Kazuya over. "It can, but can you learn it, Kazuya?"

Sealing Jutsu was something that tested one's talent immensely. Ordinary ninja simply could not learn it, which was why Sealing Jutsu was so rare in the Shinobi World.

"I can try."

"Alright, then. Wait here a moment. I'll go write it down for you."

After saying that, Kushina immediately left the lounge and headed toward the study.

"Teacher, she's writing it now?" Hyuga Kazuya asked, unable to hide the astonishment on his face.

"Yes, it's all the same. She can just write it on the spot. Otherwise, your Master's Wife would have to dig through boxes and cabinets to find it."

As he said this, Minato Namikaze could not help but reveal a helpless smile. There was nothing he could do about his carefree wife.

Hyuga Kazuya put his clothes back on and went with Minato Namikaze to the living room.

The two sat down again on the living room sofa.

"By the way, Teacher Minato, I saw Jiraiya-sama at Ichiraku Ramen today."

Minato Namikaze nodded.

"Master Jiraiya only returned yesterday. When there's time, I'll let you meet your Grandmaster Jiraiya."

"Teacher Minato, what was Grandmaster Jiraiya doing before this?"

Hyuga Kazuya actually knew what Jiraiya had been doing. Based on the timeline, Jiraiya should have been in the Land of Rain these past few years, teaching Nagato and the other two.

"I'm not too sure either. He was probably gathering intelligence outside the village."

"Oh. Is Grandmaster Jiraiya easy to get along with?"

"Haha, don't worry, Kazuya. Your Grandmaster Jiraiya is very easy to get along with."

Mentioning Jiraiya's personality, Minato Namikaze's lips curled upward, as though he had recalled the days he had spent with Jiraiya.

The two did not chat for long.

Kushina came out holding a Scroll.

"Here, take it. This contains study materials for the Isolation Seal."

Hyuga Kazuya stood and accepted the Scroll. Kushina continued,

"Sealing Jutsu is a ninjutsu that tests talent greatly, so in the early stages of learning, you can only rely on your own understanding. Once you truly get started, you can come find me if there's anything you don't understand."

"Alright, I'll work hard." Holding the Scroll in his hands, Hyuga Kazuya said gratefully, "Thank you, Master's Wife."

"It's nothing, it's nothing. Just a small matter."

Kushina waved her hand, speaking as though it were nothing.

Since it was not mealtime yet, Hyuga Kazuya did not know how to stay, nor did he want to disturb his teacher and Master's Wife's time together.

So, not long after, Hyuga Kazuya left.

At Minato Namikaze's home.

"Minato, you really have taken in two good students. Kakashi is so young, yet he already has such strength. This one is even more outrageous. He barely refined chakra, yet he already has reserves no less than an ordinary Jonin."

"Now that he has solved the problem of concealing it, who knows how strong he'll be the next time we see him."

"If only I could have a student like that too."

Kushina rested her cheeks in both hands as she spoke to Minato Namikaze with envy.

"It's nothing. I haven't done much either. It's just luck." Minato Namikaze took a sip of the tea on the table and spoke modestly.

"Kakashi is fine. I'm just not sure whether it will be a good thing or a bad thing once Hyuga Kazuya grows stronger and stronger."

"You mean the Hyuga Main Family?"

At that, Kushina suddenly stood up, waving her fists as she said angrily,

"That disgusting Clan of theirs—if they dare do anything out of line, I'll show them what Uzumaki Kushina is capable of."

Minato Namikaze hurriedly stood as well and hugged Kushina.

"Alright, alright. Things haven't reached that point yet, have they?"

"Besides, don't you still have me? The village won't just stand by and let something like that happen."

Kushina curled her lips, revealing a trace of disdain.

"Who knows what stance the village will take."

"Kushina! Don't say things like that carelessly again."

Minato suddenly said sternly.

"Got it, got it. I won't do it again."

"Hey! What are you doing? Why did you suddenly pick me up?"

Minato Namikaze ignored Kushina as she flailed her arms, carrying her straight toward the Bedroom.
