"My friends, I'm glad to see you again." After Thor used the Power of Lightning to overturn a large group of Chitauri, he looked toward the arriving Andrew and Electro.
"Let's catch up after the battle. The enemy's elite units are coming for us." Electro calmly watched the approaching Chitauri army.
The Leviathan circled through the sky, its massive body casting an enormous shadow. Its armor was so sturdy that ordinary bullets and missiles could barely penetrate it. Thor swung his hammer and charged at the Leviathan, gathering the Power of Lightning around Mjolnir to form a powerful energy attack. He unleashed an Arc Discharge, blasting open the Leviathan's armor, but it still held on and launched a counterattack against Thor.
The appearance of the Chitauri Giant Ape added to the chaos on the battlefield. It was a gigantic and ferocious creature, its muscles bulging with astonishing strength. Andrew used his telekinesis to restrain the giant ape's movements, preventing it from threatening Thor. At the same time, Electro launched a lightning attack, releasing powerful electrical energy from the air and driving it back.
Chitauri Flying Chariots darted across the battlefield at high speed, firing energy cannons at Thor, Andrew, and Electro. Thor used the Power of Lightning to destroy the flying chariots' energy cannons, while Andrew used telekinesis to shove one chariot into another. Electro relied on rapid movement and an Electrical Shield to evade their attacks.
The battle entered its fiercest stage. Thor swung his hammer, Electro unleashed lightning, and Andrew wielded telekinesis. They fought in coordination, trying to defeat the Chitauri elite forces.
The Leviathan charged at Thor again, its enormous body bringing crushing pressure. Thor showed no fear. He used the power of his hammer to knock the Leviathan back, then smashed Mjolnir fiercely into its head, slamming it into the ground and causing massive destruction.
The Chitauri Giant Ape was restrained by Andrew's telekinesis.
"Spear of Zeus." A sharp bolt of lightning-shaped electrical energy pierced through the Chitauri Giant Ape's body and knocked it onto the road.
Thor raised Mjolnir high and bravely faced the Leviathan's charge. He swung his hammer, releasing immense lightning energy that struck the Leviathan's armor and triggered a massive explosion.
The cold-hearted Electro displayed his ruthless nature and formidable power. He unleashed a powerful electrical blast, currents forming arcs through the air as they struck the Chitauri Flying Chariots. The current instantly paralyzed their electronic systems, causing them to lose balance and crash to the ground.
However, Chitauri reinforcements kept arriving. Their numbers and relentless offensive placed increasing pressure on Thor, Andrew, and the cold-hearted Electro. They had no choice but to divide their attention to deal with attacks from every direction.
"Is this war?" Andrew watched as the Chitauri forces grew ever more numerous, unease rising in his heart.
Thor continuously released lightning energy, driving back the Leviathan and the other Chitauri soldiers. His hammer whirled like the wind, every strike carrying tremendous impact.
Andrew's telekinesis created powerful energy waves that sent the Chitauri Giant Ape flying. He controlled objects with his telekinesis, reflecting the enemy's attacks back at them.
Electro used an electrical barrier to protect himself while attacking the Chitauri forces with high-speed movement and powerful electric shocks. His Electrical Energy Burst was almost impossible to stop, killing enemies where they stood.
"There are too many of them, and it's just us." With a sweep of his right hand, Andrew's telekinetic barrier blocked the Chitauri's long-range rifle fire.
"Tony's Iron Legion is here too. Don't worry. I can fight a battle like this until the end of time." Thor swung Mjolnir, and the Power of Lightning blasted down a vast swath of Chitauri soldiers.
"General, the Iron Legion is in position." Jarvis's voice rang out.
In an instant, their bodies were covered in sturdy armor and equipped with all kinds of powerful weapon systems.
Jarvis directed the armors' movements, deploying them throughout every corner of the encirclement and forming an impregnable steel defensive line.
The Chitauri infantry launched a desperate attack. Armed with arm cannons and forearm guns, they sprayed energy fire at the Iron Armor. However, the Iron Armor's plating was incomparably tough, and the energy blasts could barely cause any damage to their surfaces. The Iron Armor returned fire, releasing powerful lasers, missiles, and energy waves that knocked down the Chitauri infantry one by one.
The Leviathan beast stomped across the ground and launched a charge. Its huge body and hard armor inflicted damage on the Iron Armor. However, the Iron Armor counterattacked simultaneously with lasers and missiles. Explosions and flames kept erupting throughout the city, leaving the battlefield in utter chaos.
The Chitauri Giant Ape's savage charge also posed a threat to the Iron Armor. Its tremendous strength and ferocious attacks knocked some of the armors to the ground. However, Jarvis immediately dispatched other armors to support them. They launched a combined assault, trapping the giant ape within their formation. Laser beams and energy waves bombarded it in succession until it was finally defeated.
Chitauri Flying Chariots continuously fired energy cannons from the air, launching long-range attacks against the Iron Armor. The Iron Armor nimbly dodged the energy fire and launched missiles and lasers to shoot down the chariots. The chariots exploded in the air and crashed to the ground. Yet due to the density of the enemy's firepower, the Iron Armor also suffered varying degrees of damage.
The battle continued for some time, and both sides paid a tremendous price. The city's buildings were destroyed, while ruins and smoke covered the battlefield.
"What's that?" Sharp-eyed Tony Stark suddenly noticed some strange creatures beginning to attack the Chitauri army.
Zombie Dogs howled as they rushed at the Chitauri infantry. Their bloodthirsty eyes and sharp teeth filled people with fear. However, the Chitauri infantry were agile and mobile. Holding arm cannons and forearm guns, they took aim and fired at the Zombie Dogs. A rain of energy rounds flew through the air, knocking the Zombie Dogs down one after another.
But just as the Zombie Dogs were brought down, the Lickers began their slaughter.
The Lickers pounced on the Chitauri infantry, opening their enormous jaws. Their tongues were coated in mucus and stretched outward like massive tentacles. The Lickers moved swiftly among the Chitauri infantry, wrapping them up with their tongues and dragging them one by one into their huge mouths.
The Chitauri infantry resisted with all their might. They aimed their arm cannons and forearm guns at the Lickers, but the Lickers' bodies were extraordinarily tough and could withstand most attacks. Their mucus also provided protection, making them even harder to defeat. Still, the Chitauri infantry did not fear the odds. They fought desperately, trying to break free from the Lickers' restraints.
At the same time, Tyrants appeared on the battlefield. These tall, powerful zombies were covered in hard exoskeletons. They swung enormous weapons with their massive arms, wielding terrifying force. The Tyrants charged into the Chitauri infantry and smashed them to the ground with their weapons.
The Chitauri infantry faced an exceptionally difficult battle against the Tyrants. The Tyrants' strength far surpassed that of ordinary humans, and their weapons could not inflict effective damage. Yet the Chitauri infantry continued to resist fiercely. They concentrated their fire on the Tyrants' vital points in an attempt to weaken their combat power. Though the Tyrants' exoskeletons were incredibly sturdy, even they had to yield before the Chitauri infantry's concentrated barrage.
Amid the fierce battle, the Chitauri Giant Apes and Leviathans also joined the fight. Relying on their immense strength and ferocious charging power, the Chitauri Giant Apes engaged the Tyrants in brutal hand-to-hand combat. They tangled together across the battlefield, erupting with earth-shaking clashes of force. The Leviathans also rampaged freely through the battlefield, their mighty bodies and sturdy armor making them threats that could not be ignored.
On the battlefield, Zombie Dogs, Lickers, Tyrants, Chitauri infantry, Chitauri Giant Apes, and Leviathans became entangled in a chaotic and perilous scene. Flames, explosions, and energy beams intertwined, while the smell of gunpowder and blood permeated the battlefield.
A sharp arrow flew toward Captain, but he nimbly dodged it.
After slipping in through the rear entrance of Vanko Tech Building, Captain looked up at Hawkeye, who stood high above on the second-floor railing.
"Clinton, you shouldn't have come." Captain warily stared at Hawkeye, who was under Loki's control.
Hawkeye sneered. "Captain, I merely returned to where I truly belong. Do you still remember the oath we once made?"
Captain gripped his shield tightly, his gaze firm. "I remember, but this isn't your own will. Loki has only controlled your mind."
"Mind control? Captain, you're still that self-righteous fool." Hawkeye said mockingly, "Loki gave me new power and a new purpose. I'm no longer the Clinton you knew."
Captain stepped onto the stairs and slowly approached Hawkeye. "Clinton, you're my friend. I won't give up on you. Loki is only using you. You still have a chance to break free from his control."
Hawkeye gave a cold smile. "Captain, you're too naive. I've already seen through this world's hypocrisy. Why save a human society bound in chains? Join Loki's side, and we'll create an entirely new order."
Captain stopped and stared at Hawkeye, who was controlled by Loki. "The kind of order that comes at the cost of innocent lives? We are the Avengers. Our duty is to protect humanity, not strip them of their freedom."
Hawkeye replied coldly, "Your sense of justice is nothing but an illusion. Humanity can never truly be free. And I will become Loki's messenger, bringing a new order and power."
Captain gripped his shield tightly, his eyes unwavering. "You can choose to betray me, but I will never betray you. We're teammates. We're friends."
Hawkeye's gaze softened slightly, but he quickly returned to indifference. "Friends? Captain, that belongs to the past. Now, only power and orders are real."
Captain took a resolute step forward. "If you insist on this choice, then let's see whether friendship or power matters more."
