Former life

Five years before his return, Zhang Han belonged to one of Shangjing’s eight great families. Following an air crash that killed his parents and sister in his original timeline, he suspected his hostile second uncle, Zhang Ming, of murder. His investigation and prior enemies ultimately led to his expulsion from the Zhang family. 1

After a Wolf Mountain racing accident cost him both arms, Zhang Han spent five years in misery before jumping from a cliff. He entered the Cultivation World, awakened the Treasure Sniffing Nose, and spent five hundred years gathering treasures and cultivating into the renowned Immortal Lord Hanyang. 1

His attempt to ascend through the Heavenly Tribulation ended in failure when the Nine Heavens Divine Thunder struck him. Rather than dying, he returned to Earth at the Wolf Mountain race, with his cultivation and amassed treasures lost. 1 3

Zhang Han returns at the moment Liu Feng attempts to humiliate him at Wolf Mountain. He survives Dong Hu’s sabotaged Mustang, completes Nine Bends and Eighteen Turns without braking, and wins Liu Feng’s Ferrari in a record seven minutes and thirty seconds. 2 3

He initially does not recognize the little girl calling him “Daddy,” but learns she is his biological daughter, Emily, born to actress Ziyan. The discovery immediately changes his priorities; he stops smoking around her, embraces their bond, and renames her Zhang Yumeng, nicknamed Mengmeng. 3 4
