Background

Five years before the story, Ziyan and Zhang Han came together after an incident described as “hero saves the beauty.” She retired at the height of her career, disappeared to North America, and gave birth to their daughter, Emily. She later returned to the country with the child while preparing to re-enter the entertainment industry. 3

Ziyan initially allowed Zhang Han only seven days with their daughter, apparently expecting Emily to lose interest in her fallen father. Their first meeting after her return ended in a major argument, and Ziyan left angrily. 3

When Mengmeng begins calling herself Zhang Yumeng and says she is “enjoying life” with Zhang Han, Ziyan panics that he may be taking the child away. She immediately cancels her commitments and flies to Shangjing, only to discover that Zhang Han and Mengmeng have already gone to Hong Kong. 7

New Moon Mountain and family outings

Ziyan joins Zhang Han and Mengmeng for an Ocean Park outing, where Zhang Han gives her Pure Yang Water and the three spend time together as a family. 22
