Daoist Randeng listened as Nine Refinements Poison Venerate claimed he could cure the Human Race’s plague and reveal who was behind it, then agreed to fight without Dharma treasures. The Poison Venerate’s attack seemed to kill Randeng, but Randeng suddenly reappeared and seized him by the throat.

• Daoist Randeng considered resolving the plague himself after Nine Refinements Poison Venerate offered to undo the poison afflicting the Human Race.
• Nine Refinements Poison Venerate pretended to be a doomed, suffering cultivator and hinted that someone had ordered him to poison the Human Race.
• Daoist Randeng agreed to fight using only their comprehension of Laws and promised to let the Poison Venerate leave if he won.

• Daoist Randeng resisted Nine Refinements Poison Venerate’s poison and tortured him with Nirvana True Meaning until he agreed to reveal who had sent him.
• Nine Refinements Poison Venerate exploded before he could finish speaking, and his True Spirit vanished; Daoist Randeng then left to find Shennong.

Fuxi sought help from his teachers to deal with Demon Race influence among the Human Race, but only Kong Xuan answered his call. Kong Xuan relayed the Human Lord’s order to kill the collaborators and declared he would do it himself if the others would not.

• Fuxi agreed to contact his seven teachers after Shennong and Daoist Randeng urged him to ask for help protecting the Human Race.
• Fuxi’s video calls to Yun Zhongzi and several other teachers went unanswered, but Kong Xuan answered and explained that the others were nearing breakthroughs.
• Kong Xuan said he would ask the Human Lord how to resolve the crisis, then later called back with the Human Lord’s command to kill those aiding the Demon Race.
• Shennong objected that many people might be innocent and that mass killings could cause turmoil among the Human Race.
• Kong Xuan insisted the Human Lord would bear the consequences and vowed to kill those the others did not dare kill.

After Kong Xuan urged Fuxi to punish Human Race members who sided with the Demon Race, Shennong objected and Daoist Randeng sought Qingyuan’s guidance. Qingyuan rewarded Randeng lavishly, and the returned treasures and insights greatly strengthened Qingyuan as he prepared to address the Human Race’s crisis.

• Kong Xuan gave Fuxi the Human Lord Token and ordered him to warn the deceived Human Race members first, then destroy their temples, and kill those who still refused discipline.
• Shennong warned Fuxi that slaughter could cause internal strife, but Fuxi took up the token with killing intent.
• Daoist Randeng called on Qingyuan for help with the Human Race’s predicament, and Qingyuan praised his efforts and gave him treasures, pills, Law insights, and repayment for his banquet expenses.

Shennong used the Human Lord Decree to end the ensuing unrest, then continued governing and helped establish a currency system for the Human Race.

• Qingyuan rewarded Daoist Randeng with Divine Ability insights and explained that the Demon Race had caused the epidemic to manipulate the Human Race.
• Daoist Randeng returned to Fuxi and Shennong and told them the epidemic was a Demon Race plot, while withholding the names of the Heavenly Dao Saints involved.

Qingyuan visited Pingxin in the Netherworld and found Xing Tian and other Great Witches rebelling against her by stealing the Blood of Ten Thousand Witches to aid Chi You. After Pingxin welcomed him for tea, she noticed an unexpected intervention in the Netherworld by the First Disciple of Intercepting Sect.

• Qingyuan reached the Underworld Court and saw Xing Tian, Xiang Liu, Wind Master, Rain Master, and other Great Witches flee with a red-lit cauldron containing the Blood of Ten Thousand Witches after fighting Jiu Feng.
• Jiu Feng accused the rebels of abandoning Pingxin to join Chi You, who had revived and was gathering Witch Clan forces to contend for the position of Protagonist of Heaven and Earth.
• Xing Tian and the others injured Jiu Feng, smashed through the Underworld Court gates, and escaped, leaving the city in chaos.
• Qingyuan rescued Jiu Feng and carried her to Pingxin’s palace, where Pingxin welcomed him and shared carefully cultivated Great Dao Spirit Tea.

A mysterious intervention transported the clan and the cauldron to Chi You’s tribe, where the Great Witches admitted they had betrayed Empress Pingxin and resolved to follow their new allies.

• Xing Tian, Xiang Liu, Wind Master, Rain Master, and the other Witch Clan members carried the Blood of Ten Thousand Witches toward Ghost Gate Pass, intending to return to the Primordial Wilderness.
• Qingyuan confronted the clan and demanded to know what was in the cauldron, but Xing Tian refused to hand it over and attacked.
• Qingyuan shouted “Scram!” and blew Xing Tian and the charging Witch Clan forces to the ground, leaving them unable to stand.

Qingyuan arrived at the ruined Underworld Court, was brought to a hidden hall with Empress Pingxin and Great Love Heavenly Venerate, and heard Pingxin ask her companion why she had summoned him.

• Chi You learned that the First Disciple of Intercepting Sect had defeated the Great Witches at Ghost Gate Pass, mocked Xiang Liu, and ordered the witches to carry the Blood of Ten Thousand Witches to the Southern Primordial Wilderness.
• Chi You directed the Great Witches to trigger more than a thousand volcanoes, then fell into the blood-filled cauldron as Fire Essence engulfed him.
• Qingyuan arrived at the ruined Underworld Court and learned from the minor commander Feng that Empress Pingxin was away at a Saint's banquet.

When the real Jieyin returned, both Saints suspected the other was the impostor, leaving them poised to turn on each other.
