Background / History

In his original timeline, Chen Yi met Su Nuan as an online gaming partner without realizing she was a girl because she used a voice changer. They later joined RNG together and spent seven years playing professionally, only to be banned, fined, burdened by a fifty-million-yuan lawsuit, and denied wages. Unable to stream or appear publicly, they worked menial jobs; Su Nuan remained beside Chen Yi until overwork left her bedridden. Chen Yi regarded his neglect of her during this period as his greatest mistake. 1

He is reborn to November 15, 2016—the day before their former path begins—with the determination to avoid RNG and help Su Nuan achieve her dream of becoming a female champion. His strong emotions activate the Wife Pampering System, which binds Su Nuan to him and assigns their first major objective: join an LPL team together. 1
